Now the winter weather is hopefully behind us and Spring is just around the corner, my mind turns to upping those fitness levels, kickstarting my running training and shedding a few pounds.

But there are so many exercise opportunities out there. How do you know which one you'll enjoy? Or which one will work for you?

Peake Fitness at Stoke by Nayland is offering a complimentary 7 Day Trail, so you can use absolutely all of their facilities, classes and state of the art Technogym to try before you join.

I spent a week attending different classes, a couple of gym sessions, to share with you, what's on offer

Gym Induction with Chester

A couple of years ago, Peake Fitness underwent an amazing £250,000 gym refurb with the latest Technogym equipment. 'If you're not a regular gym user or first timer, it can be a bit intimidating. But, when you have a trial, you'll get one of Peake Fitness's highly trained PTs to walk you through the equipment and there will always be someone on hand to help if you need it.

Chester patiently went through a variety of exercises, wary that I have been dogged with running (and age) related injuries recently. Take a look here

Block Fit

Peake Fitness has over 60 classes every week from boxing to pilates. I decided to give Block Fit a go.

Block Fit is perfect for those who love a bit of variety in their classes. It's a mixture of dance, pilates, HITT and boxing. Although it has a 4 star intensity rating, you don't have give yourself an injury and you can just go at your own pace. I certainly did

Boxercise

There's something very cathartic about this class. Boxing is great, not just for your body but for your mind (there's a lot of concentration involved, to try and remember the sequences) I bumped into a friend of mine who I partnered up with. I recommend you go with a friend. It's a bit of a giggle

DanceFit

My final class of the trial, was DanceFit. This is a very popular class and it's easy to understand why. You're taught a variety of dancemoves from Rock and Roll to the Chacha. I was relieved that you don't need the coordination of a Strictly contestant to enjoy this class, as the moves are straight forward and through repetition, you soon get the hang of where your feet need to go, plus you work up a bit of a sweat.

As part of the free trial, you'll also have access to the pool, Jacuzzi & steam room.

Peake Fitness is a really friendly, non stuffy or intimidating fitness club. The PT team go out of their way to help, the facilities are wonderful, so if you're looking to reach a fitness goal or lose some weight, give the 7 day trial a go. You can get more information by clicking here.
