It’s October already, where has this year gone? October 2019 is the start of a mile stone for Gainsborough’s House. The house will close on Sunday 27th for 18 months and re-open in Summer 2021. The house will be re-furbished and the new gallery building will become the National Centre for Gainsborough. As part of the Silk Festival the house has 3 ensembles by Vivienne Westwood on display until they close.
Also the last boat trip for the season will be Sunday 27th October. If you haven’t done this before,get yourself booked on. It's a lot of fun
