Wayman & Long Solicitors in Clare and Sudbury are pleased to announce that their team is expanding.

The last 12 months have been an exciting year for Wayman and Long, solicitors in Clare. They have expanded their offices to now include Sudbury, refurbishing a former law firm practice in Friars Street.

They were also the first business in the country to collaborate with a local high school, to create the Wayman & Long Law Suite at Thomas Gainsborough School, bridging the gap between employer and education, working closely with the school to provide opportunities for Sixth Formers looking to a career in law.

It comes as no surprise to hear the firm, established in 1847, are expanding their team. Last month, James Hadley, was recruited to join Wayman and Long to head up their growing Private Client Department

James has nearly 20 years’ experience in law, specialising in private client work. This includes Wills, LPA, Probate, Trusts and elderly client issues. He will head up a team of five, consisting of senior solicitors and support staff.

James commented that “this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding firm and I am looking forward to welcoming new clients into the business as well as supporting fully the firm’s existing ones.”

Prior to joining Wayman and Long in May, James was a partner in a London law firm. He has two children and is a keen cyclist and tennis player. He also enjoys trips to the theatre and classical music concerts. James originally wanted to train as a dentist, until he realised it wasn’t the career for him and made the switch to law.

Stephen Whiskin (Partner) commented  “James’s appointment is going to  take the firm to the next level and is a major  part of our strategic growth.  We already have an excellent Conveyancing team in place and are now building further on growing the business with the enhancement of James as Head of Private Client and a further announcement will be made shortly regarding our expansion of our Matrimonial Department.  My team also pride themselves in respect of welcoming any client who may have the need for legal advice and they can be assured that all matters will be dealt with professionally and sensitively.
