Join wild food cook Carl Shillingford and plantsman Matthew Rooney for a day of spring foraging around the woods and fields near Arger Fen and finish with a delicious wild food tasting cooked in the field kitchen.

During the day we’ll walk through the many different habitats near Arger Fen observing a wide variety of plants and a selection of fungi. Following this, we have access to an area of private land, where you can pick wild garlic before Carl cracks on with his amazing cooking in the field kitchen, turning your foraged finds into delicious lunchtime treats including the best wild salads, hedgerow pestos, spring soups and lots more.

Every forager receives a Goodie Bag complete with recipes and a selection of wild food products including hedgerow pesto, wild soup and sour dough bread.

Spring dates for 2017 are:

19th March – sold out

26th March* (cooking demonstration post forage takes place upstairs at the market in Lavenham Village Hall rather than out in the field)

9th April – sold out

21st May

Tickets cost just £50 to include refreshments, the guided forage, cooking demo and Goodie Bag.
