There are lots of reasons to shop in Sudbury this Christmas with the shop local campaign urging everyone to support their local shops and two competitions over the Christmas period.  Sam Bawden, Town Team Chairman said “This is the second year the Town Team are promoting the shop local campaign to encourage shoppers to shop in Sudbury this Christmas.  The Town Team are running two competitions to coincide with the campaign to encourage shoppers to use the wide range of independent and multiple retailers and businesses which Sudbury has to offer”.

Vote for the Best Christmas Window Display, either online here or use the entry form which will be printed in the Sudbury Mercury from the 19th November, for your chance to win a hamper donated by Waitrose Sudbury.

Seven restaurants, cafes and bakers in Sudbury will be asking their customers to vote for their favourite mince pie from the 23rd November with the chance to win some great prizes including vouchers, cream tea or a meal for two.

By shopping locally the statistics show that for every £1 spent in a local independent business up to 70p circulates back into your local economy whereas shopping online or out of town only 5p trickles back into your local economy.  Check the Shop Local this Christmas posters and leaflets which will be found round Sudbury to find out all the other benefits including benefits for shoppers in Sudbury  of 3 hours Free Parking.
