On 21 April, Penny heads back into Nethergate Brewery to create this year's very exclusive limited edition festival beer.
And it's not a small undertaking.
We’re going to be brewing a double dry hop, light ale, ready to be poured across the LeeStock weekend in Long Melford with a limited amount available in Nethergate's Tap Room.
This isn't Penny's first time at the brewery. She has been creating charity beers for LeeStock for over a decade, working with local breweries around Suffolk to produce exclusive festival ales that bring people together and raise money for a cause that genuinely matters.
LeeStock is more than a music festival. It raises funds for the Willow Foundation, a charity that creates special experiences for seriously ill young adults. The total amount raised for the Willow Foundation in Lee’s memory now stands at over £200,000, and every pint served over the weekend plays its small part in keeping that going.
thebestof Sudbury is inviting the local community to name this year's beer. If your suggestion is chosen, you'll win two tickets to LeeStock.
To enter, just click here and fill in your name and suggestion before the competition closes on 5pm Friday 24th April
This year's beer also carries a moment of reflection. We would like to recognise the contribution of Edd Keogh, a founder and long-standing organiser of LeeStock, and a close childhood friend of Lee Dunford in whose memory the festival was created. Edd played a central role in building LeeStock into the event it is today, and it feels right that this year's beer acknowledges the part he played in its story.
So if you've got a good name in mind, now's your moment.
