So, you’ve left the shopping to the last minute and now you’ve realised you may have left it too late for online shopping, especially now we have a slew of postal strikes planned in the lead-up to Christmas. 

But fear not, help is at hand and you can find this help right on your doorstep… or high street to be more accurate. Parking is free and you get your own personalised shopping assistant in each store to help you with your purchase. Now you don’t get that on Amazon..

Pop Nouveau

Love music? Then take a look at Pop Nouveau on Friars Street (there’s is the one with the life size cut out of David Bowie in the window) It’s a TARDIS of pop paraphernalia and Pop art.

For the person in your life who loves wine, then the Wine Boutique on Gaol Lane will have something for you. You can make your own wine hampers, plus there’s a great selection of beers, both local and beyond. Congratulate yourself on buying someone the perfect present, with a cold glass of vino.

Based in one of the Pop Up Pods on Gaol Lane, you’ll be able find a selection of homemade items and unique gift ideas, to suit all budgets. 


Prudent Nellie

Celebrating just over 1 year in business in Friars Street, Prudent Nellie sells independent crafters and producers items in their Friars Street stop. Definitely worth a look if you’re after something original.  


Health Foods For You, plus Nature’s Temple

If you’re looking for some healthy gift ideas, Health Foods For You on North Street have a great selection from everything from teas to supplements. You can also buy gift vouchers for their salon, Nature’s Temple. You can see their website here.


Nell and Green

For those that love plants, you must visit Nell & Green. Considering the shop is small, they have an amazing selection of indoor plants - and more importantly, they are on hand to answer any questions you may have about keeping the plants alive.
