13 Things To Do This Half Term in and around Sudbury

Stuck for things to do this half term? Here are 13 ideas to entertain the kids, young and old!

 

1. Mandy's Jewellery and Gifts are running Spooky Spider making sessions throughout the half term, costing just £5.  Perfect for those creative little bugs who love a bit of Halloween. More info can be found here

2. Boxford Community Council is running their half term lantern making up at The Spinney. You can call Karen on 01787 210129 and book your place or just turn up and make your creation, ready for the Boxford Fireworks on 27th October. They just ask for a small contribution to go towards materials

3. The River Stour Trust are running their river cruises from The Quay to The Henny Swan until the end of this month, before they stop for the Winter. A perfect treat before the weather gets too cold and miserable.

4. There are loads of lovely walks. You can check some of the suggestions here or there are some great idea for walks around Hartest that conveniently end back at the Crown. Check them out here

5. If you have older kids and you're brave. get yourself to Scaresville and Kentwell Hall.. A scary time to for all!

6. Need a Pumpkin? Ditch the supermarket and head over to the Pumpkin Patch at Siam Hall just outside Boxford. For more information, click here

7. The Quay Theatre have some great entertainment this half term. Don't miss Alice in Wonderland. You can learn more here and see what else is on by visiting their website here

8. Daws Hall Nature Reserve are having a Wild and Craft Family Adventure Day on 24th October. Build a fire, toast some marshmallows and enjoy some Autumn fun! Click here for more info

9.  Arger Fen has an Autumn Adventure organised by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust on Thursday 25th October. For more information click here

10. Stock up on some local goodies and enjoy some pumpkin carving at the Sudbury Farmers Market. More info can be found here
