Tightening our belts?

As if 2020 and 2021 were not crazy enough, events at the start of 2022 are leaving many of us incredulous, horrified and wondering how these things can possibly happen.

Whatever our personal feelings about the rights and wrongs of how recent and current events were handled at home and around the world, it is clear that the cost of these events will hit many of us physically, emotionally and financially for quite some time to come.

However, people here and around the world are proving, yet again, that we are great at carrying on as best we can, whilst trying to help others in whatever way is possible in our individual circumstances.

When will price increases stop?
As we listen to the news and look around the shops, we see the evidence of increasing prices across the board. Whichever way we look at it, budgets will be stretched and spending decisions will have to be made.

Price increases are affecting businesses too and local business owners are feeling bad about having to pass increases on to customers when times are already hard for many. We all hope this period settles down sooner rather than later.

Local businesses want to help.
So, what can we do to help each other? Smaller independent businesses know that margins are tight, so will do their utmost to minimise price increases and add value with great service and special offers.

Your local independent businesses need support too in order to survive so, if you can, please check out what they are offering. You may well be pleasantly surprised!

From my point of view?
As you know, I offer excellent quality perfumes. I’ve written much about this in previous articles.

To summarise, FM World offers ‘parfum’ with 20% perfume content, which has staying power. This is sourced directly from the same perfume ‘manufacturer’ that supplies the endorsed high street brands you see advertised on the TV etc.

These brands spend vast sums of money on their advertising, fancy packaging and celebrity endorsements. Perfume concentrations are generally reduced to make the fragrance affordable. Shops add their costs to the base price. Some fragrances therefore have a high cost for a reduced potency. Reviews reflect this.

So, do you buy the ‘celebrity’ and the fancy packaging? Or are you more interested in what’s in the bottle? Perhaps current price rises are causing some of you to rethink. If so, I’m happy to help.

Also, you might like to know that FM World originates from Poland and is doubling any donations we make when ordering to help Ukrainian refugees. (Not a political statement – but many customers have asked us about this).

My offer to you.
FM World perfume retail prices for 50ml bottles and 20% perfume content are:
Pure range: £17.40
Pure Royal (not special editions): £27.50

If you are a supporter of FM World’s donation campaign, any order at retail price from my stock will result in a 10% donation to the campaign. My FM World colleagues have raised a large sum already so your help would be much appreciated. Bulk order discounts are also available.

I know this cause is not for everyone. For those who wish to make alternative decisions, but still wish to direct some of their spending towards FM products, any order with a retail price of at least £50 will receive a 10% discount.

Full details and t&c are available on request. Delivery charges apply.
