The Money is in the Follow Up

One of thebestof Hertford and Ware members last week told me the story of a £2,300 sale that came in the afternoon following FOUR separate follow-ups earlier that same day.

Four follow-ups to a prospect IN THE SAME DAY. I was impressed!

  • Follow Up 1 - a standard auto-responder email that was part of their follow up system. (The last word is key there - 'system').
  • Follow Up 2 - they shared a bunch of positive feedback that the company had just received on Facebook;
  • Follow Up 3 - a text message reminding that the offer was expiring the following day; 
  • Follow Up 4 - an outbound phone call...

The message should be clear and obvious.

You don't have to do it four times in a day BUT... recognise that there are sales (lots of them) to be had in your business if you just get better at following up.

Systemise it and you could make a big, big difference.

Somehow, someway, follow up more this week and you'll be richer because of it.

Everyone's busy and they need a nudge over the line. You're letting them down by not following up more... it's bad service!
