Welcome to the Hertford blog.

The Hertford Symphony Orchestra have some sad, but also happy news!

It’s been announced that after 10 highly acclaimed years with the Hertford Symphony Orchestra their conductor, Gerry Cornelius is sadly leaving.

So to see him off the HSO are celebrating their final concert conducted by him this Saturday (14th May) with a very special concert.

The stunningly gifted Michael Foyle who is just 19 will be playing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto as well as Shostakovich’s A Spin Through Moscow.  And to finish the evening off the Hertford Symphony Orchestra will be playing Sibelius’s 2nd Symphony.

The good people at the Hertford Symphony Orchestra urge you to show your support this weekend at The Hertford Theatre.

Tickets are available from The Hertford Theatre: 01992 531500 and cost: £13 for adults, £10 for concessions and £4 for children.
