The Chestnut Veterinary Group has just hosted a very successful evening, promoting the care of elderly cats. Vets and nurses dedicated the evening to informing clients of the many ways of providing extra care to older cats, and had an amazing response to invites.
Clients of elderly cats were invited along to enjoy a reception of drinks and biscuits and the chance to chat to some of the vets, nurses and reps. Clients were then given a tour around the practice by the nurses and viewed some of the specialist equipment available. The vets hosted a variety of talks to help clients understand some of the problems seen in elderly cats, such as hyperthyroidism, arthritis and kidney disease.
The combination of talks and the tour gave the clients the opportunity to understand the treatment available to their cat if they were taken ill and needed to be hospitalised, which is considered a valuable insight to pet owners.
Company reps that work closely with Chestnut Vets also attended to hand out freebies and give advice to clients on the care of their elderly cats.
The evening proved a big success, with a huge number of clients attending to enjoy a very informative event, with the chance to meet the staff who are dedicated to providing the best veterinary care in Ware and Hertford.
