It's time for the Hertford Christmas lights to be switched on for 2010!
This will take place at the Hertford Christmas Gala this Friday on the 26th. The gala will start at 4.00pm and run onto 8.00pm with the lights switched on at 5.00pm.
This year it seems that the event is really being celebrated - and rightly so as well. Expect late night shopping from a variety of shops around the town (full list at the bottom). Meet Santa and enjoy a glass of mulled wine at The White Hart, listen to bands from Hertford schools, watch productions from Top Hat Stage School, meet some well known panto characters (and buy your tickets for the new productions at The Hertford Theatre!), let your kids be entertained while shopping at the Christmas market and enjoy a fabulous steel band! Also give your support in the cheerful trader presentations and take in the window displays from various retailers.
There truly is something for everyone so if you can't make the big switch on then enjoy the rest of the evenings entertainment and celebrate Christmas 2010 in Hertford!
