Welcome to the Hertford blog.

It’s with great pride to announce that Hertfordshire is home to 2 of the world’s top golfers.  Firstly we have world number one, Luke Donald of Hemel Hempstead and now joining him with a  maiden European Tour win last weekend is youngster, Tom Lewis from Welwyn Garden City.

Tom played in the Portuguese Masters on the European Tour over the weekend of 13th/16th October and pulled off an amazing comeback by scoring a birdie on 5 of the last 7 holes of the final round on Sunday.

It’s an incredible feat and one that’s better cemented due to the fact that this was only his 3rd professional tour event!  The win secured his place on the tour for at least 2 more years and he won a cool 416,616 Euros in the process, well done Tom!

If you’ve got a budding young golfer in the family, or you’re looking for a new challenge in the world of golf, why not try the stunning course at The Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club?  The PAR 72 course is widely regarded to have the best last 6 holes in the South East and with the beautiful Broxbournebury Mansion offering the back drop, The Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club is the perfect place to improve your  game or afford yourself some well earned leisure time.
