Every year I seem to find myself in the same situation, there’s someone who I care deeply for but somehow they always end up as the last one I buy a Christmas present for.

Now, don’t misunderstand me, this isn’t because I can’t be bothered – in fact it’s the opposite, I spend so much time trying to find the perfect present that I leave it so late I end up rushing, which I hate!

Not any more however. I’ve now found the perfect place to buy presents for a few special people in my life and the shop is right on my doorstep! They are of course, Chapter 79 who you may already be aware of and may already be one of their valued customers.

In fact, that is partly the reason why I’m going to Chapter 79, it’s because after chatting with Jackie and Andy (owners) on a few occasions and from visiting their shop, it became very obvious that they really, genuinely, cherish their customers (how many shop owners can you say that about?) They go way beyond customer care and customer service by spending any amount of time that is necessary to make sure they produce a piece of jewellery which is just what their customer is looking for.

On this occasion however, I am not looking for a bespoke, unique piece, I’m thinking of an off-the-shelf necklace, or earrings, or, well to be honest, I haven’t decided yet.

To make that decision easier, I’ve been spending some time looking through their online shop, just to get some ideas. When I’ve more or less decided then I’ll go into their shop to see what the item is like when I hold it in my hands. I have actually narrowed it down to a few ideas already, these are a pair of sterling silver pearl drop earrings at £60.00 which are (in my mind) a modern twist on an old favourite, classic item of jewellery. Or I may splash out on a beautiful sterling silver and rose gold plated 3D Tree Of Life CZ Pendant at £115, which I am sure my daughter would love.

I was surprised to find that there are also some presents I could get for the men in my family (who are always so difficult to buy for). Chapter 79’s online shop has some leather woven bracelets and there’s one in particular that I’m going to buy for my brother-in-law, it’s a navy blue leather bracelet with a stainless steel clasp at only £29.00! And I could buy a really unusual pair of cufflinks for my husband that on the website are described as stainless steel cufflinks with black and blue carbon fibre for just £49 – ‘bargain’ I’m thinking!

For the first time in many years, I could find that the people who, each Christmas, I traditionally buy for at the last minute (for various reasons), this year I’m going to have presents in plenty of time. I’m dead chuffed because I can relax knowing it will all be sorted out very soon and they will be very pleased with their gifts.

I have in fact bought a present for a special occasion from Chapter 79 previously and it was packaged up in a lovely shiny bag which hints that there’s a special gift inside. To let you in a secret, I like their bags so much that I actually wrapped up the bag with the gift inside instead of taking it out of the bag! I will probably do the same again this Christmas, just to build on the excitement of the surprise gift inside.

So, if you’re like me and tend to get stuck for someone’s Christmas present, then get along to Chapter 79 and your problems will be solved – but please don’t buy the last Tree of Life pendant or the last pair of black and blue carbon fibre cufflinks!!
