St Pierre Park Hotel

This would have been at least a four star review - the staff were all extremely pleasant and the hotel itself was well kept, despite there being not much in the way of frills. Our stay was spoiled, however, by the arrival on our corridor of a large group of teenage boys (competing in some kind of sports event) for several nights, meaning constantly slamming doors and noise until late - more like being in a frat house than a resort hotel. The receptionist sent up a manager when we complained, but it made no difference. If you're looking for a peaceful, restful holiday you might want to consider somewhere smaller as St Pierre Park is a sizeable hotel that clearly takes large group bookings.

A short stay in July and I cannot fault anything.
I was a single traveller and initially was put in a room with a connecting door. Not ideal but the occupants next door and I said hello in the corridor and all was ok. That was until change over and my new 'neighbours' decided to try the door!
I spoke with the Duty Manager (a wonderful man) and was moved immediately. The only room available was a deluxe and I was not charged extra for the reminder of my stay.
Both rooms I had were absolutely fine. Both were more than adequate; hairdryer, iron/board, fridge, tea/coffee, hot chocolate, water still & sparkling, bathroom was huge with wonderful smelling toiletries. Both had view's of the grounds.
The only difference in the rooms were that the deluxe had air conditioning, a coffee machine, dressing gowns and slippers.
House keeping staff were friendly, a morning 'hello' and extremely helpful.
I only had breakfast at the hotel and again the teams were fantastic. As a single traveller they try and sit you near the window so you don't feel your in a goldfish bowl! Very thoughtful. One morning I wanted to take breakfast to go, a wonderful waiter fetched a container so I could 'grab & go'!
Didn't use the pool but did use the gym. It's a little out dated and could do with an overhaul but I could still manage a workout.
I use to live on Guernsey so know of the hotel over many years. Having now stayed there as a guest, would I recommend, definitely

Great location, beautiful gardens, locality to Golf 19 and restaurant. The breakfast was superb and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Easy drive into St Peter Port, with lots of on-site parking. Health club and spa included, with dedicated family times. Our family room had lots of space.

Just arrived home from a lovely break on Guernsey. Our stay at St Pierre Park was brilliant. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly and assisted us with booking taxis and reserving tables at the restaurant. The catering team were very efficient and friendly, stopping to chat and remembering us from one day to the next. The buffet breakfast has a wonderful selection. The bar staff were also fantastic, attentive but not intrusive and we had a marvellous afternoon tea during our stay and sampled a very reasonably priced bar snack.
The hotel grounds and bedrooms are all immaculately kept. Clean, tidy and in good order. The chambermaids and grounds staff should be very proud of themselves. We were also delighted that the duty manager of the hotel was very visible, took time to chat to guests and made us feel very at home.
There is a good bus service just outside the hotel, so it’s very easy to get into town.
We loved our time at the hotel and didn’t get chance to sample the spa or pool sadly. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much to all involved!

Hotel is van 1983 oud en is een beetje outdated. Geen frisse aanblik en geen nieuwigheden of modernisering

We had a short family and friends trip to Guernsey and stayed 3 nights at the St Pierre Park. Overall a good hotel and enjoyed our stay.

+ fitness club and Spa was good quality including indoor swimming pool, outdoor jacuzzi, wide selection of exercise equipment
+ breakfast buffet was impressive with extensive selection of hot and cold items
+ service generally friendly and positive although some times certian staff dropped the ball (eg in hotel bar for food and drinks order)

- rooms getting pretty tired. No extractor fan (at least a working one) in bathroom and no air conditioning in rooms which even in the slightly cooler temperatures when we were there was needed
- front desk could have been friendlier

Our room was a family room on the garden level, ideal as we had our eight year old granddaughter with us.
The room with the side bedroom was lovely and spacious and very clean.

The breakfasts were very good, with plenty of choice , buffet and menu.
We dined at the Terrace Cafe a few evenings, the food was very good and plenty of it, the portion sizes were very big.

The swimming pool and grounds were also very good.
The paving around the terrace and pond could do with some maintenance. It’s a little dated.
But the lawns and gardens are well kept.

The outstanding thing about St Pierre in Park are their staff.
Every staff member we came across was lovely, they couldn’t be nicer or more helpful if they tried.

My granddaughter already says she wants to come back next year.

Visited for Sunday lunch carvery and it was excellent quality and value for money. Staff very attentive, lots of choice on the carvery and generous portions. Yorkshire were amazing! You can choose how many courses to have - seafood on starters looked amazing, but we didn't have the appetite to try that as well. My son loved the chocolate fountain on the dessert table.

Just had a wonderful Sunday lunch/afternoon on the Terrace at St Pierre Park.
The staff were extremely friendly & attentive, going the extra mile to make sure we were in the shade & had plenty of iced water on a hot day. The food was delicious & very reasonably priced. An afternoon to remember.

Loved everything about this hotel except. If you have a evening meal you have to have it in the bar sitting in great big armchairs- which is not easy when, like my wife, you are 5 foot nothing, why no proper restaurant??
Apart from that would have given it 5 stars as everything else is excellent.

Sehr freundliches Personal, zuvorkommend, höflich, hilfsbereit! Wunderbar! Das Hotel liegt in einer schönen Anlage mit Springbrunnen und viel Grün! Der einzige Nachteil, wenn man ohne Auto da ist, man muss zuerst einmal mit dem Bus fahren, um in die Stadt zu kommen. Sonst perfekt!
