The Polegate Scarecrows Community Fund which was founded in 2019 after the running of successful Scarecrow Festivals in Polegate is very proud to be able to launch a brand-new event in neighbouring village, Willingdon.

The Willingdon Scarecrow Festival 2021 will be the first of its type in Willingdon and will run from 3rd - 17th July 2021 supporting SERV SUSSEX and St Wilfrid's Hospice. The event will run alongside Polegate's annual event which is celebrating its 4th consecutive Polegate Scarecrow Festival supporting local good causes.

Andy from SERV SUSSEX said "Thank you so much for selecting SERV Sussex as one of your nominated charities again for the 2021 Polegate and Willingdon Scarecrow Festivals. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support you continue to show us, especially in such difficult times for fundraising."

The Polegate Scarecrows Community Fund was founded in November 2019 by Nathan Dunbar and was set up to empower community efforts to support those who need it.

Nathan who, in recent years, has generated over £10,000 for good causes nationwide said "We support local community groups, charities and projects whilst organising events for everyone! We are proud to support St Wilfrid's Hospice as we have been from the beginning, Polegate Scarecrows have raised over £1,500 for their amazing end of life care and support."

We look forward to seeing what Willingdon has to offer and hope to see many handmade creations popping up around the village in July!
