When it comes to Eastbourne, we pride ourselves for being a very active community. With the Eastbourne Half Marathon done earlier this month it might be just about the right time to join yet another race in and around Eastbourne?

Here is an overview of races this month in Eastbourne:

Coastal Trail Running at South Downs National Park 19th March

This race brings you an extraordinary scenic race, starting at Birling Gap situated perfectly to view the coastline of Sussex Downs. On your journey you will pass the English Channel and route the town of Eastbourne and Seaford by the sea. The grassy grounds and the rolling downland creates the most iconic landscapes of the UK. The beautiful white chalk cliffs and the dramatic coastline, Seven Sisters and Beachy Headis a must see and you get the chance to see them all as you finish your race. 

Hastings Half Marathon Sunday 20th March

The first Hastings half marathon was in 1984, and this year marks the 32nd year of the race. 

This exciting race is attend by hundreds and hundreds of eager runners. There are cash prices for the first 5 runners across the finish line. 

The race starts at 10:30 am and the fee is £28. The race takes you around Hastings showcasing its beautiful historic houses in old town, landmarks and the seafront. The race takes you through the fishing villages and residential areas giving you the perfect impression of Hastings as a seafront town.

Lewes Easter Monday Races on Easter Monday 28th March:

Lewes Athletics Club are hosting the clubs 10k fun run, the 1-mile run, the 2-mile run and the toddlers 800m toddlers trot race.

The race times are as follows:

10.30 Toddler’s Trot

10.40 One mile race

10.50 Two mile race

11.15 10k race.

All of the West Sussex fun races takes place at locations all over the country. Fees are very low (£1.50) and they all focus on the fun elements of running for participants of all ages and abilities.
