A lovely hotel, well kept, very posh. Great breakfast, nice room... Amazing outdoor pool. There's also a children's room, which is a really nice touch. The indoor spa is nice, but it's the outdoor pool that really shines... The prefect late summer break!

On arrival I was glad that I had reserved a car park space as a significant part of the car park was roped off in anticipation of the arrival of The Rolls Royce Enthusiast Club. Reception staff were superb and as luck would have it our room was ready for us,{at 13.30}. My wife and I then decided to have lunch in the Garden Restaurant which was very good. However we were a little disappointed to find that the dinner menu was by and large identical. Also the menu is the same for two days, don't forget to add 10% on to the bill. After a walk along the front it was time to return to freshen up for dinner. Let's have a drink before. I ordered a vodka martini and Ann had a martini and lemonade £29.87 !!,{including that 10%}. Breakfast is on a buffet basis. I understand the logic of this as it would take so long to serve everyone individually, but I have to say it was not what I expected when we first visited The Grand back in 2016.Our room was pleasant enough,we found the double bed a bit small as we are used to a king size at home. Its a lovely building though with so much history.

Excellent service, with very good and professional staff. Everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel is at The Grand. I can’t rate the staff highly enough. The gourmet dinner in the Mirabelle restaurant exceptional with top draw service.

Disappointed that evening meal menu was the same for 3 nights, otherwise all aspects were good. have booked for B&B only for next stay in October. Will make alternative arrangements for evening meal. Staff very helpful as usual.

We spent two days at the 5* Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. The staff are all friendly and ready to offer guests a warm welcome as soon as you drive up to this impressive white building on the sea front.
The car park is small given the size of the hotel however the concierge have parking down to a fine art and within minutes we were ready to check in. The receptionist asked us about our journey while the checking in process was completed and asked if we required assistance with our luggage.
Our room was on the first floor a lovely suite with terrace over the front entrance with sea view.
The room was well equipped with everything we required for a relaxing stay.
We dined in the garden restaurant on the first evening and the Mirabelle the hotels fine dining restaurant on the second evening. We recommend that you try the Mirabelle restaurant at least once during your stay.
Breakfast is available in the Garden Restaurant although we were offered tables on the concourse overlooking the garden on both mornings which we enjoyed.
It is a short walk to the town centre where you can experience old and new, the shopping centre has a good range of shops. There is a well stocked delicatessen Barley Sugar en route to the shops and worth popping into.
The sea front is just across the road if you fancy a stroll and a short walk to the pier.
A short drive to Beachy Head and Burling Gap.
The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools we didn’t have time on this visit to use them.
A very enjoyable stay.

Calm environment, Staff very courteous. I liked the comfortable seats in the room.
We had only a simple breakfast but it seems that we paid for the full English one.
The position near the beach was just what we wanted.

The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is elegance personified! Everything about it is First Class from the bedrooms to the staff and not forgetting the restaurant. The leisure facilities, particularly the outdoor and indoor swimming pools ,are well maintained and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent and literally two minutes from the seafront. My whole stay was wonderfully relaxing and I will definitely be back!

Another amazing stay at The Grand. On arrival we were told we had received a complimentary upgrade to a sea view suite which was a lovely touch. We had a delicious meal in the garden restaurant. Overall we cannot fault our stay and can't wait to return.

Like the other hotels in the chain this is an old style hotel but it’s charm is in its history and it’s Staff all of whom were absolutely lovely.
They work hard to make your stay as comfortable and stress free as possible.
Breakfast is absolutely superb!!

We come for lunch regularly at this large many starred hotel, either for a full lunch or a snack lunch in one of their lounges. This time it was a snack lunch. A wedding was on, but that didn't mean we had to wait for a full half hour to be served. We could not help noticing that the common rooms looked tired and old fashioned with threadbare carpets and tired furniture. I wonder when this many starred hotel will start a modernising program to update its quite passé decor.

The service from all the staff was exemplary, from the greeting at the front door to the welcome at the reception. The serving staff always went out of their way to ensure that we had a fantastic stay, making us feel as though we were the most important people in the hotel.
The room impresssed us as we walked in, with the spotless bathroom on show which was fully equipped with a bath and shower to the built in wardrobe and safe. Walking past these was the spacious double bedroom with a gloriously clean queen sized bed, which was very comfortable. The room was equipped with both a coffee machine and kettle and a reasonable size TV with normal free to air channels.
The hotel is situated close enough to town to let you walk down, or to the beach and close enough to the South Downs to let you walk to Beachy Head. After all the walking it was good to come back and enjoy either the outdoor or indoor pools, along with the jacuzzi, steam room or sauna.
We found the food at the hotel to be exquisite, offering two fabulous restaurants, which have a dress code to more relaxed dining in the lounge offering light snacks, sandwiches and salads. We would fully endorse using the restaurants as the food and the service is excellent.

Just super that every wish is granted , from request for a room heater to changing restaurant booking st short notice, just so lovely to be looked after . Only small niggle Is that the food wasn’t as good as I thought it would be on the Saturday evening, but breakfast in garden room was fab on the following day, no complaints at all and room also nicely equipped with coffee and tea which was replaced when we were at dinner, maybe a small thing but makes such a difference. All very comfortable and lovely smiley staff , no wonder they win awards !

We always come back to the Grand, as we love the old fashioned courtesy that the staff never fail to display. We stayed in a Junior Suite, room 130, which was lovely and quiet, with very comfortable beds. Dinner in the Mirabelle was excellent, as always. We had really nice treatments in the Spa, and made use of the small but attractive indoor swimming pool. The public areas of the hotel are beautiful. One thing I would say is try and book as good a room as you can afford, as some of the 'deluxe' rooms are a bit on the small side and don't have much of a view. This is true of most large hotels though - it isn't a criticism. The hotel is ideally placed for a walk up to Beachy Head, and is also easily walkable from the station. The only thing that would have added a bit more to our trip was there was no gesture to the fact that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, which the receptionist knew about. A card would have been nice, but this was only a minor thing.

First-class service and comfort with nothing too much trouble. Excellent dining and food quality.
it was a treat to be looked after by having the car parked for us and the luggage collected from the car and taken to the room. We were also delighted to find the dog bed in the room and the complimentary dog food and treats for my wife's guide dog.

We stayed for a weekend break and weren’t sure what to expect, pleasingly it was an amazing place. From kids packs on arrival with useful contents, grand bedrooms, turn down service including milk and cookies for the children and lovely full English breakfast with amazing service from all throughout our stay. Would highly recommend staying here.

A very English experience. Excellent sandwiches, cakes, scones and an exceptional champagne in traditional surroundings with good parking outside. Not cheap though. £200 for 5 guests but worth it for a special occasion.

Hotel is the only 5* hotel on the south coast and the grandeur is still there but some of the furnishings are a little shabby, however, every single member of staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for two nights with the first being dinner bed and breakfast, breakfast is second to none with more than everything you could wish for. We had the chef’s taster menu for dinner which came with a corresponding wine with each course (which was a gift from our son) I don’t drink an awful lot of wine and my husband doesn’t drink wine at all but they accommodated us with an alternative, however I wouldn’t go for the taster menu again, minuscule portions and alas I didn’t enjoy 3 of the 5 courses on offer. Apart from that a fabulous weekend and one we’d love to do again.

My room was tired and in need of updating, but this was reflected in the price. The indoor pool and spa area is also in need of updating/deep clean.. but the outdoor pool was beautiful. The staff were superb. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely come again. Thank you.
