Popped in for drinks with friends. A very busy, lively pub with live music and plenty of "Dead Man's Fingers" shots. A definite, if you enjoy a lively atmosphere.

A very pleasant lunch. The smoked salmon starter was good and the quality of the bread it came with was excellent. The rest of the food was good and it was very relaxing sitting outside with a beer. Very much recommended.

Loved the atmosphere and food. They have a section with loads of TV screens to view the latest sport channels. Great selection of food for vegans.

This place was recommended by people we met on the Pier as we had been lamenting the lack of gluten free food in the area. They said it was very popular and we may not be able to get a table. We went early, before 5pm and did manage to get a table. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. To our surprise there was an actual menu with lots of choice for starters, mains and even more amazing desserts (it’s usually a brownie or ice cream). After having had to go through a laborious list of allergens last night this was such a relief. I felt normal for once! The food was wonderful. I managed most of my two courses. My sister struggled, but was given a doggy bag to take back to our hotel. Not being outdone, I ordered two desserts for us to take away. I am so impressed that I would definitely come back next time I come to Eastbourne. We may even try The Alexander Arms (sister restaurant) next time as well! 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an enjoyable evening!

After being recommended. We visited The Crown and Anchor on 2/07/2022 at 17.00hrs.
The pub was quite busy but we managed to find a table. The waitress was very helpful and kind, We were handed our menus.
My sister and I are both coeliac and what a joy it was to have a gluten free menu.We could order straight from the menu without worrying.
The food was very tasty and well presented what a Joy!! All staff very pleasant. Will definitely be going there again soon

We found this friendly pub by chance last year, and we were keen to return on our second visit to Eastbourne. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxed, and the food a cut above the usual pub fare. The waiting staff are cheerful and attentive. Highly recommended.

This place does the most amazing Sunday roast, especially the pork belly, although you will probably need to book a table and there will be a wait. A nice pub, right near Eastbourne pier :)

They were extremely busy and in fairness although asked could only accommodate us at the correct booking time (arrived and asked for earlier). We were warned that due to the business, food orders would take approx 45 minutes delay but starters would be earlier. However our starters did not emerge until 20:45. The food was quite good and very reasonably priced. However as previously experienced with is chain, do not go to when they are busy as you will experience long delays. Although we arrived early, we were not allowed to place our order thereby bypassing the delay from actual booking time. Poor Poor service.

I recently visited as part of a large group. Everyone was pleased with all three courses, the quality was excellent. Staff were efficient and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them. They fed us all in a short time,on 2 separate occasions. Be warned ,they do not stint on the portions, you will need to loosen your belt.
