Great location but the hotel is very dated. The windows are hard to close because these are very old and the floors in the bedroom & bathroom are uneven. The hotel is noisy because of its age, there is very little insulation.

Very relaxing. Space to relax in the lounges etc
Breakfasts.
Food available all day.
Location is excellent.
No information in the room re meals, wi-fi etc
My curtains were coming off the rails but I could not fix this because even if I stood on a chair I couldn’t reach the rail because of the high ceiling. In consequence I slept wearing an eye mask to keep the early morning light from waking me.

Great location with lovely views The location was great and the food was good. The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable and felt it needed to be replaced.

Comfortable and clean but outdated. Great location but the hotel is very tired and outdated. It needs a full refurb but I think the same could be said for the rest of Eastbourne.

On the whole it was good, the breakfast was good, but would Lovely welcome from lady on reception, went out of her way
to help when we booked in… great to have two lifts!!
On booking didn’t realise the hotel took in dogs.. we were on 4th
floor where there was a barking dog… it didn’t like strangers I
think!! Then the one night there was entertainment.. he/she
had a barking session just as the entertainer started to sing..

Basic, needs updating, would stay again but in a larger sea-view room with a wider bed. Room was comfortable and very clean. Booked room only so cannot comment on food. Staff were very good. Rooms need some updating. Expected and had a room at the back but view was of bird mess and rubbish. Bed was very comfortable but small. Bath rail insecure. Filth outside the window but inside was very clean.

other than the window issue, excellent beautiful room I was in room 119. there needs to be some sort of net curtain at the windows as you can see clearly into the room from the pedestrian crossing outside Harry Ramsdens, to allow guests some privacy,

Lovely and relaxing. Lovely staff. Great location and easy parking. It’s dated so one needs to accept that. But overriding this is the location, views and helpful staff who make you feel welcome.

Ideal sea front location The location is perfect, good breakfast selection and the staff were always friendly and helpful.
The bar area was a great place to sit and watch the world go by.
The room and parts of the hotel needed a bit of TLC. We stayed in a cosy double which was fine for two of us but the bathroom was very small, the toilet was cramed in between the bath and the wall which made it hard to use.

Quiet weekend away Central, comfortable, great staff It is tired, lots of roadworks on the seafront, not the fault of the hotel.

The best hotel in England As always this hotel exceeded my expectations. The location can't be compared to any other hotel in Eastbourne. The staff from the reception, night porter, restaurant staff are the friendliest most helpful I've come across and I travel the world and stay in luxurious hotels. The breakfast is amazing.
Most of all I am always blown away by the original features including the plaster cornices and wrought iron bannisters. If you have a room with a seaview there is nothing better.
That I was only staying 1 night.

We stayed at the Burlington for three nights in April whilst visiting family and it was fine for us.
The hotel is large and suffers like a lot of these vintage seaside hotels with a historical infrastructure that would need millions of pounds spent on it to modernise it and return it to its former grandeur. That said, the cheerful staff do their best to work with the limitations of the building and its fittings.

Our room on the third floor was clean and had everything we needed, the wifi was fast and reliable. The bed was a bit hard for our liking but we managed to sleep ok, the shower was hot and powerful enough for our needs.

We only ate breakfast in the hotel, there was a decent buffet with plenty of everything, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, juice, toast including gluten free with a separate toaster etc and a full English of course.
Apart from a daily hunt for teaspoons we couldn’t fault it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again when back in Eastbourne.

A very nice stay in a very handy place. We did not have a room with a view but the hotel was nice enough anyway. A lot of victorian stuff including their lift which was lovely to travel in too. Beds were super comfy and it was nicely heated as we went in February. 10/10 for staff too.

Good location and facilities. Pleasant staff. Room had new carpet. The wooden window surrounds seriously need updating as rotting in some rooms. Having said that I would stay again.

We had a very pleasant few days in Eastbourne and would recommend this hotel to others The location is excellent opposite the pier and a short walk to the town. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The room we stayed in on this occasion had a very hard mattress however we asked for another duvet to lay on which helped make it more comfortable.
