The hotel was superb and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. From the reception staff to the restaurant staff and bar staff and also the cleaning staff everyone was friendly and so helpful. I absolutely loved the hotel and will definitely go there again.

Its a reasonable priced hotel. The staff are warm and care about you. You feel relaxed while you stay there and the step
The property is old and charming. It has its own history. It was dated but that didnt distract you for the warmth and atmosphere and comfort it offers.

Great hotel for the price. Somewhat ‘tired’ but more than made up for by the excellent service from the staff. Good variety of food at breakfast and the set menu on offer for dinner more than met our expectations. Comfortable beds, good furnishings, excellent sea view and good, heavyweight black out curtains
The bathroom was outdated and really needs bringing up to the standard of the refurbished ones in some rooms.

A perfect short stay and close to Beachy Head and Seven Sisters
Great views from our room (upgraded from the original booking). It was comfortable and quiet (we stayed mid-week). The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Tired just needs a gentle makeover
Location Ideal for our needs
"Tired" rooms. .Bedroom windows did not or were difficult to open. There is no information on the hotel in the bedrooms. Bedroom floorboards creaky.Bedroom carpet had seen better days. However, the bedroom was larger than many. The current roadworks around the hotel made it difficult to enjoy a walk .

The staff were absolutely amazing — very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay.
The hotel felt quite old and had a strange smell. The bathroom really needed a deep clean with bleach. Parking was also quite expensive, which added to the overall cost.

Very run down, kept awake the whole of one night with the window rattling.
On the surface the bathroom looked clean but when the door was shut there was an accumulation of fluff and hair behind.

The only moan I have is there is only one choice of egg for breakfast, & that is scrambled, I asked if fried or poached eggs were available but was told no.

Roadworks along the promenade but that wasn’t the fault of the hotel.Also during the first few days of the first week i has to walk 3/4 mile to find somewhere to park as hotel car oark was full up
