Very convenient location and very polite employees
The hotel is in a perfect location. It’s very convenient to the High Street. It is also very close to the pier and all the amenities in the area. I love staying there. This is my third visit will return again.
You need more double beds and when it’s hot, you need lighter duvets or just sheets on beds Your bar area is fantastic. All your employees are very clean and polite.

If you want jaded elegance and you’re not fussy, stay here; this hotel needs a lot of TLC but the staff were very helpfu
Sea view
It was very tired and generally quite unkempt. Our room was sea view but the windows were filthy and lots of cobwebs outside. The room itself was on a slope so when in bed we felt like our feet were up higher than our heads. The level of cleanliness was very poor. There was a pair of someone else’s underwear left in the room when we arrived! We had to ask for it to be removed. There was also a bottle of cleaning fluid/bleach left by the cleaner.

Great views from sea rooms.
I’ve stayed here quite a few times and I’ve tried various rooms. The sea view is definitely worth the extra cost.
The staff are amazing, extra kudos for the young gentleman at breakfast. Nothing really.

The hotel was in need of tlc. The rooms were respectable although fairly basic. Food was great and breakfast had good selection so it was worth the money just for that. Parking was extra in car park to rear but that was helpful because the hotel is overlooking the seafront and pier.
All in all you get what you pay for and it's not the Ritz!

In need of refurbishment
Breakfast was good. Some of the staff were great, others not so good. Well placed for everything Eastbourne has to offer. Good ses viee
It's difficult with a large Victorian building that has to stand up to sea winds etc but the place is in urgent need of a makeover. Some of the areas were tired, some tatty and the former glory that the hotel probably enjoyed in its heyday has certainly faded.

Pleasant hotel that met the purpose of staying for tennis.
Adequate room. Reasonable breakfast.
No dedicated place to put suitcase and bag as is usual in hotels. Mirror did not have light immediately above it for wet shaving well. Only got penultimate place in car park on arrival. If I had to use multi storey car park some distance away, then taking suitcase and bag into hotel would have been extremely difficult.

Eastbourne Burlington
The hotel is old so you expect a little bit needy but the windows were filthy inside and out, the carpet was stained and drap, the paintwork was peeling,we had a superior room but it was quite basic really.
The staff were friendly and that helped, the food was good but limited and serving times were bit off.

This hotel vastly exceeded the expectations that I had of it beforehand. The staff on the reception desks were all very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast each morning was great. I liked how you could have it anytime between 7.30-9.30 on weekdays and didn't have to book a slot. The evening meal options were also great. I was able to book onto the 3 course evening meal at the last minute on a couple of occasions. I had bar food on other nights.
My room had everything in it that I needed. For a single, it was very spacious compared to lots of places. It was good that there was free Wifi available in the rooms.
There were no problems that I experienced during my stay here. There were only very minor issues with the room such as the walls in the bedroom could do with touching up as there were cracks in places. Also some of the carpets could do with been replaced around the hotel as they are old and stained. Having a room above a bar meant it could get a bit noisy at night.

Dated Accommodation
Great location in relation to other family members staying at other hotels. Breakfast was hot and there was a good selection of food.

Had 2 rooms and both had hairs in the bath and plughole. One.of the bathroom bins hadn't been emptied. Luckily only an empty toothpaste could be seen, but not the point.
