adequate for the price, but kept awake by noise of wind and waves
good location, clean room, comfortable bed. everything worked, i.e., the TV and kettle.
Pretty basic,no frills, no fridge or safe, no drawers for clothes storage, no double glazing, very old windows, rattled in the wind, very noisy all night.

The hotel was warm. The bed comfortable and the room was large with a great view.
We had evening entertainment and breakfast was excellent
Good location. Couldn't really be better.
Oh, and it has its own large car park. The hotel is tired. Room needs decorating. But nothing distracted from a good stay and we will go back.

A very pleasant stay ,we book on a regular basis
It’s central to the high street and right opposite the pier. The staff are very friendly and supportive. The breakfast menu is vast with so many options for everyone’s tastes.
The flooring is quite noisy you can hear people moving around

Food excellent, staff OK, room tired. Windows kept banging at night which I reported. Stayed 4 nights and the never cleaned the room until the day before left for home

Very nice hotel. Very helpful and good staff. Rooms presented well with adequate facilities. Lovely location and full of character as these old Victorian hotels are. Good breakfast buffet and food bar with conservatory facing the sea front. Good price and certainly cheaper than some of the others . Good value. Half range of simple bar food as well as the fa. Y restaurant offering.

Faded grandeur probably sums up the fabric of this hotel. It’s a shame its owners haven’t maintained it as it’s now suffering from a lack of investment. Conversely, the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms have the typical high ceilings and beautiful cornices of the grand hotel it once was. It’s beautifully positioned for the pier and the bar’s a pleasant place to spend an hour or two in the evening. There has obviously been some water ingress from bedrooms into the dining room that hasn’t been rectified. The breakfasts, although containing mass-produced products, include a good range of options. This hotel is not expensive and its location really does excuse the lack of investment. Added to this it’s a dog-friendly hotel, so I would definitely consider it again in the future.

Nice hotel (could do with a bit of TLC,but it is still very nice the staff are very friendly,helpful and sociable, nice room, good breakfast selection, great location only a minute or 2 to the beach and pier, and the town centre with plenty of bars shops and restaurants very good transport, easy to get to other locations.

Lovely old world hotel, staff are friendly and helpful, rooms have tried to be updated but it's a grade 2 listed building so they can't change a lot, but still feels like a trip back in time.
Location is near perfect, a good few resteraunts nearby, hotel right on the coast near the pier, shopping centre and train station 10 minutes walk.

Staff are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The meals are great value for money. The drinks served in the bars are reasonable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, they need a little updating, it doesn't have a negative impact on the overall experience.

Always very good I stay frequently for work and leisure. Perfect position opposite the pier. Recommend rooms with sea view. Staff are Wonderful, always happy to help. Secure car parking for £6 a day, very good for eastbourne, as parking can be expensive. Extremely good buffet breakfast. I would definitely recommend, so much so I'm booked in for this weekend. Also have a jewellery cabinet, hand made in Devon. I buy my partner something every time we go. Prices under £30 for silver.

Great breakfast, good choice including gluten free porridge and also gluten free bread on request. Room 312 family room had a separate single bedroom and a lovely sea view. Hotel has seen better days but was great value. Would stay there again. Carpark at back was difficult to find due to road works, needed to go wrong way up a one way street. We had to ask Reception to find this out, there are no directions on website. Reception said council had made it two way during roadworks but there were no signs.
