Enjoyed our stay, comfortable accommdation and good breakfast. Our "Superior sea view room" (Room 114) was very good, view was excellent, room was decorated in pleasing neutral tones with good electrical plug facilities and bath in en-suite. The en-suite was adequate but could have done with an update. Also liked being able to park the car in your Burlington car park. Well done. The bed was extremely hard and proved somewhat uncomfortable, and it didn't feel the size of a King size bed as the room could accomodate one. Also which was annoying was the room above, the floor was noisy so when the occupants were walking about it sounded loudly on our ceiling and at one point woke us up.

Nice location near the beach. The hotel has seen best days decades ago. Dirty and window frames rotten. Low fare stay.

Needs more work The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great. Breakfast was good. The room was much more tired than in the photos. The plumbing is very noisy. The room was mostly clean but definitely had some corners cut.

The location reception and restaurant The bar shutting just before 11 when there was still music going on no one came round to say last orders and there was at least 30 customers enjoying themselves also the room had quite a lot of dust toilet paper in toilet and empty vape box on the floor by table

We arrived at the Burlington Hotel Eastbourne on the 25th September for 6 nights after deciding to finally stay here after admiring this grand old building for so many years. I moved to Germany more than 10 years ago and always return once a year to visit my family and am so annoyed with myself that we have not stayed here before and have missed out all these past visits on the chance to stay here. Honestly as the title of the review says we absolutely love The Burlington Hotel and had the most wonderful time staying here. We were given room 210 which was a superior twin room with sea view and it did not disappoint at all. Wi-Fi always worked amazingly the whole time we was here and very easy to connect to, the bed was heavenly and we slept like babies every single night. The mattress was top top quality it really was and the duvet was just perfect along with the pillows. The towels and bedding were perfectly white and Importantly super clean. The large flatscreen tv had plenty of tv channels to choose from so always something to suit all tastes. We absolutely loved the view from our room and we are really missing sitting at the window listening to the sea hit the shoreline as the sound was so beautiful and we loved falling asleep and waking each day to this magical sound. The hotel could not be more perfectly located literally opposite the pier and a couple of minutes away from the town Center. Saturday evening there was a quiz which was great fun following that there was fantastic entertainment from the very talented singer Andrew he was such a lovely friendly guy and certainly got everyone singing along and there was such a great atmosphere the whole evening. The fellow guests staying here are a real eclectic mix of ages and characters and all so very friendly. Liam & Joe at the bar are absolutely brilliant and always super friendly with a great sense of humor. I must mention the food here as it blew us away both at breakfast and dinner, the quality of the ingredients used was absolute top notch and the food always perfectly cooked. Breakfast time is an absolute feast with a special mention for that bacon! Oh my I have never seen such perfection every single day. There must be a very talented head chef as the attention to detail and perfection both at breakfast and dinner was fantastic and amazing value for money at £22 for a 3 course evening dinner, so without a doubt a huge compliment to the chef and kitchen staff. The staff in the restaurant both at breakfast and dinner are truly so so hard working and always so polite, friendly and an absolute pleasure to see every day so special mentions must go to Ann, Wayne and Cornel you guys work so hard and we saw that everyday. Sarah on reception was always so friendly, helpful and always on hand to help in any way. On the Saturday evening the fire alarm was set off and the super lovely female manager handled the evacuation with true calm and professionalism, am so sorry I did not get your name but your self also was always a pleasure to speak with. When the 1st of October came around and it was time to return home to Germany we was so sad to leave as honestly as the title of my review says - The Burlington Hotel Eastbourne we absolutely love you! and we most certainly will be returning next year and every year after without a doubt. Just to end when I see the negative reviews it truly pains me as I know how hard everyone works here and seriously people need to be realistic with their expectations. You cannot pay a Burlington Hotel price but have the expectations of the standards of staying at the Hilton or the Marriot. To please everyone complaining would not cost just millions it would be tens of millions if not more. I dread to imagine the size of the electric, water , gas etc etc bills as well as general maintenance costs and business rates etc etc . Renovations and improvements will always be an ongoing issue in any hotel and certainly one of this size and grandeur on the seafront with all the problems that salty sea air brings. They are doing their utmost best and people seriously need to lower expectations and be realistic. Until next time. Love - Respect and much Admiration.

Very friendly reception. Bar prices are reasonable. Spotlessly clean. Would be great to have king size beds in the superior sea view rooms. Only thing that could be improved is the breakfast especially considering the £12.50 price tag. Stayed many times and will continue to do so

Staff are exceptional. When I arrived the desk girl gave us a free upgrade to a sea view room. The hotel is dated for sure but the breakfast buffet was decent and the staff very helpful giving us gluten free toast and sausage.
Overall don’t go expecting a posh hotel but for value for money and a short stay it was ideal. Bed was also nice and comfy and a clean slightly dated room was nice size and you had a proper coffee pod machine in the room not instant. Very happy with our satay and a big thank you to the staff who treated us so well.

Although disappointed with the cleaniness of our room, the rest of the Hotel was good Right by the beach, very handy for the Hippodrome Theatre for us (a 5 minute walk), lots of local attractions and shops near by. Our room was only cleaned on our first day (we were staying for 3), there were two lifts in our Hotel, one which said for four persons - it was like a small cupboard and there was no way four could get in as even two was tight!

The room was spacious and the staff were friendly. The beds were very comfy. We hated the roadworks all around the hotel, it made coming and going difficult.

Noisy Breakfast was excellent, room itself was OK and location superb, staff on reception and car largely good apart from being greeted initially when we arrived at 2.40pm " You are too early we said check in was 3pm you will have to come back" I think that some customer service training here would be needed We hardly slept very creaky floors above and a couple of guys came in about 1.30am then proceed to talk loadly and continually walk around until 5.30am.

No consideration for other guests, resulted in 2 hours sleep for my wife and I

I have stayed at the Burlington once before with my son and on both occasions enjoyed our time. The hotel is in an excellent location with the sea just across the other side and walking distance of both town and train station. The staff are excellent and polite. We were booked for both evening meal and breakfast, both of which was excellent with good choices of both, drinks at the bar were good quality and reasonable prices. Our room was a good size comfortable beds and good size tv. The bathroom could need some grouting around the bathroom area.
