Staff was lovely room was fairly clean we asked for extra pillows and 1 pillow each wasn't enough and we got the extra pillow but 1 had a blood stain on it but other than that it was good

Room with a view
Seafront room was lovely. Great view of pier and seafront. Clean room, good size
The bathroom was a bit disappointing. Very cheeky floor and bath/shower wasn't particularly nice. Grout was stained and didn't look nice

Our stay at the Birlington Hotel Eastbourne
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was very good for us . The entertainment was a bonus . The room was spacious and had everything we required , the public areas were clean and tidy.
I decided to put these comments in this box unfortunately the hotel is old and it requires some TLC , as the rooms are spacious they do get hot and uncomfortable at night , maybe a fan .

Beds comfortable The shower needs fixing, as it doesn’t stay in place, so my daughter with special needs struggled with it.
The room was soooo hot and the window wouldn’t stay open.

Great location. Moderate facility. Perfectly acceptable for a short stay.
The location along the channel coast is incredible. My view was terrific.
The entire facility looks very tired. Carpeting is worn. Windows are drafty and hard to operate. There are no electrical outlets next to the bed. Elevators are claustrophobic.

The hotel was really lovely with Christmas decorations everywhere the staff were very helpful and friendly i had breakfast each morning which was very nice from buffet i really enjoyed all of my stay there
There was nothing that I could say I didn't like the only one negative was the carpets in the corridor were old but that didn't really have any problem with the stay

Good location, enjoyable two night stay
Excellent location, friendly helpful staff. We appreciate that this is an old building where the décor is tatty in places but the bedroom could have been cleaner, i.e. more dust free, although the bedding and towels were spotlessly clean. More choice with the continental breakfast, cheeses, etc. and two vegetarian choices on the set dinner menu would be ideal. Would recommend booking a sea view room, we had a lovely view of the pier.
Otherwise a very enjoyable stay and we look forward to visiting again.

Loveliest hotel in terms of situation
STAFF were fantastic the room sizes were great the breaakfast was terrific
the owners of the hotel need to put money in to keep it from breaking down entirely. the wonderful old windows were rotten and badly patched up. A towel rail the only heating in bathroom didn't work. No lighting over wardrobe to see what your clothes you had in. It was drafty from the door to hallway and windows. But the view as always was terrific. I have a disability badge but still had to pay for carparking behind as workmen outside put their own personal vehicles on the disability car parking. The xmas decoration were great but it felt as though the owner was not putting anything back into the hotel and the number of coach trips were reflecting that down significantly from last year.

Staff very helpful, ideal location, major road and pavement work by council. Very cheap as deal did not include breakfast or dinner. Room very clean yet dated, windows need a revamp or replacing, but great sunrise in morning.

Walking distance to the pier, town and shopping centre 10 minutes away so great location.

Stayed here many times recently - friendly staff who are always helpful. Stayed in a good sized double room overlooking the rear of the property - very good value and perfect for what I needed.

Mini break
Always get a warm welcome on arriva from reception l. Bar staff were excellent . Restaurant.staff we're also good although we only had a couple of breakfasts. Room was very clean.
The only downside was our radiator didn't work and made a lot of noise although under the duvet it was very warm so we didn't complain. Only mentioned it on departure so that it would be sorted for the next people.
