Great selection at breakfast. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great value for money stay, though we appreciate the hotel is a little dated we had a great stay. Our room was clean and spacious.

The breakfast was constantly being topped up by a lady member of staff.
She did a good job. The buffet, cereal,fresh fruit, bread, juice area's were kept clean & tidy.

The reception area was welcoming. We were upgraded from a standard room overlooking the beach - I would hate to see what the standard room looked like. Our room was clean but very out-dated and tired looking. The shower cubicle was surrounded by mould and the bathroom windows could not open. As you looked out of the window all you saw was bird muck everywhere. The windows were single glazed so you heard everything outside. The breakfast was self service and okay. If you are vegetarian you had to order your sausages. The coffee was good and the staff were very friendly.

Great hotel
We had a problem with our room the key got stuck in the door, and we couldn't remove it, we contacted the receptionist, and she came straight up, she was unable to remove it. She upgraded us to a very nice room for our inconvenience.
The menu in Resturant was good but it changed from our last visit and I missed a few things from it, but that's only me.

Affordable break
The warm friendly helpful staff especially the young man at breakfast over and above helpful . Value for money location. Breakfast was good value especially fruit salad . Beds very comfortable and plenty of hot water .

Always stay here when visiting Eastbourne now. So cental, near lots of restaurants, pier, beach, shops. Friendly staff, comfy bed, clean. Also entertainment on some nights.

Apart from the noise issue which had an affect on my stay everything else was very good.
The hotel is good value considering the price paid. Comfortable and spacious. The bar food in the evening was very good and breakfast was good also.
I could clearly hear the loud television in the next room for a time late at night which was quite annoying. Thankfully a member of staff dealt with the situation.

I would go back any time
It is near the pier and by the shopping centre. It is an old building where I felt I was back in time. I liked it, but I know nowadays people want excellent in modern. The Burlington hotel is not modern, but beautiful, old with kind staff and good food.
The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Most important for us. The upgraded room was amazing - beautiful room, amazing view.
Our standard single was huge and comfortable, but the window in the bathroom was not working, had mould on. But it was covered and I dis not mind. To keep up these places costs a lot.

Excessive Charge of £20 per night for a small dog. I have stopped in many dog friendly hotels and thus is the most I have ever paid at any hotel including hotels with higher star rating and this did not include a water bowl which is standard in any dog friendly hotel . The room was not cleaned daily.
The bell was not working on the door leading to the car park, so we had to walk round the front with all luggage. One if the lifts was not working.
In general the hotel was clean but dated, flaking paint on bedroom window and wallpaper coming away from the wall.

Breakfast was well thought out and was value for money. We were extremely happy that the cost of parking our car in the car park was included in the cost of our stay at the hotel.
