Well worth the money if you pay for the better sea view rooms. Chosen for its perfect location. All staff friendly and welcoming. Windows are in desperate need of replacing. Toilet brush filthy. Would of liked a fridge. Very hot, no air con. Fan in room but more than 20 degrees would be unbearable. Good breakfast. For the price you pay, it’s well worth the money.

Location was great. It's a bit dated, and could do with a lick of paint.

Staff were very helpful and polite, nothing was a problem
They shared responsibilities and seemed to work well as a team, same every time I have stayed which is why I return
I feel very comfortable staying there
Lift kept breaking down, other left was out of order so a problem for disabled, but old hotel so to be expected

Was enjoyable apart from the room problems. Didn't enjoy the food much. It seemed like budget food. Staff were helpful and pleasant. My small double room bathroom was galley type with a bath. Toilet was wedged between bath and wall. Was uncomfortable to use as not enough leg room. It also had not been cleaned properly. The sink was old and patched up. The steam extractor was old and noisy. Windows didn't shut properly and room was cold at night. Stephen.
My Mother and Sister, on arrival, had to move room to 4th floor away from me on 1st Floor, because it was not disabled friendly due to shower step. That was inconvenient but the other room was fine.

We had a nice stay at the Burlington hotel Eastbourne. It was our first time there with really friendly staff in every quarter. The rooms we had were nice and spacious albeit a tad dated. The bed for a double was quite small after our king-size. The evening meal was served really quickly and although quite small in portions, but very nice. The breakfast is buffet style which was again nice. The bar during the day was nice to sit in especially the area overlooking the prom with views of the gardens, pier and sea. The bar side of things is very limited for ales on draught but have lager on draught. The other bar with more choice, is only open when they have entertainment on. We did actually have entertainment on the Saturday night which was really good.
There are some negatives at the hotel which need to be addressed. The hotel do get a lot of disabled guests but, they have great difficulty in actually getting into the hotel, as there isn't a ramp for wheelchair users or for those with walking difficulties. That is both front and back where the main car park is situated. There is only one lift to serve guests access to their rooms. The lift itself is very hit and miss when it wants to work or not. They do have another lift but for some reason, isn't operating. This doesn't help when lady and disabled guest's have to go downstairs to use the toilets. Because there are no lady and disabled toilets avaliable in the hotel upstairs. I've always thought that these facilities were things that HAVE to be provided nowadays.
I also think that the reception desk, is situated in the wrong place. It should be near the main door so they can see who is actually coming into the hotel. It is also a more friendly way of greeting guests.
Out and about Eastbourne. The town itself is a 5 minute walk from the hotel with an abundance of shops, cafes/restaraunts and bars to visit. They even closed off the road for music and entertainment to be played and watch. Good idea actually. The pier is just across the road and have shows on at the end (see notice boards) at the entrance to the pier. There is a great bandstand which has tribute acts throughout the summer. We saw Elvis who was really really good. You can jump on and off the sightseeing buses in a 24hr period as much as you like too. These can be boarded also by the pier. A bus ride to Hastings takes around 45minutes and is worth a visit. All in all, we did enjoy our visit to Eastbourne and the Burlington it just needs updating and the disabled issues addressed.

The hotel is in a wonderful location. It is close to lots shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is really run-down. We first had a very tiny room in the back over-looking the kitchen vent; however when we told the reception they moved us to a much better room with a view of the water.

The room 421, had a lovely sea view. The bed was very small as was the toilet but my main complaint was that the room smelt very strongly of urine. I complained the next day as the smell disturbed my sleep but nothing was done about it. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights I would have insisted to be moved. We have stayed at the Burlington on many occasions and never had cause to complain before but the smell was so strong I felt the need to complain.

We had a nice stay but it’s not a place we’d recommend or stay again Location. Good Value. Dog friendly Cocktail bar that doesn’t sell cocktails. Bar closes very early or doesn’t open. Lifts are beyond repair.

We enjoyed our stay and would go back. The positives outweighed any negatives. The breakfast was standard fare, perfectly fine - and the fruit salad and little croissants were gorgeous. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and we liked our spacious room with a view. We struggled with the shower, seemed to find it difficult to get the temperature right - but that might have been our fault. We ate at the hotel one evening and thought the food was very average - but then it was inexpensive. However, we would have preferred it to be a little more tasty and a little more expensive. The (one) lift was a little prone to getting stuck, which was a bit worrying.

Thank you The location is perfect. The staff are amazing. Sarah who works at the reception is a star. It feels slightly old. But it’s got it’s own vibes no complaints.

Amazing location and views. Lots of seating in room, small table and chairs in window which was lovely. Drug dealing in the carpark at all hours. Tired rooms. Window wouldn't stay open.
