I liked the breakfast and the location. The cleanliness could be better, as well as the building conditions.

Location fantastic, staff so friendly accommodating, nice large room Rooms need updating as do other areas of hotel, only one very small lift, as other out of order since last year, which means you have to wait ages for it at busy times

We booked the deal of overnight stay with dinner and breakfast £205.
We arrived at 4pm and was a little shocked to be told that dinner was only served between 6-7pm which was a bit of a rush as our friends hadn't arrived at the hotel yet.
Our room was clean with a comfortable bed although the bathroom was on the snug side with the toilet quite close to the shower.
Dinner was nothing fancy, the food wasn't pipping hot but edible.
The breakfast was plentiful, with lots of selection to choose from such as toast, cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt with also a cooked full English, again the cooked breakfast not hot but edible.
Unfortunately the hotel has seen much better days, it is in desperate need of repair or a whole new refurbishment, as on our floor we had a leak resulting in the ceiling falling down with water still leaking on the floor and the same in the dining room.
To be honest I will say the staff made this hotel. They were extremely polite, friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately due to the hotel's need of repair and overall looking extremely tired we wouldn't be retuning.

Weekend stay The room was a lovely size and the Seaview amazing..The bed was comfy. A very quaint and old fashioned hotel The room we stayed in was in dire need of renovation. Two of the windows wouldn't open and there was obvious signs of damp below the windows. The breakfast in my opinion was overpriced with a poor selection and I had expected better for the amount charged.

Great location. Staff extremely kind and friendly. The location was amazing
The superior room was very large with an amazing view
The property was spacious however it is old and really needs some work
The downslope creaky floor boards told you the age of the building. There was a leak in the dinning room

Great superior room and friendly staff let down by other aspects that could be easily rectified The room was recently refurbished and very big which was unexpected as parts of the hotel are a little run down. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good- kept topped up even towards end of service. The lifts need refurbishing- They are so old and I was scared to use them as you could only really get 2 people in them and one of them broke down during our 3 day stay. The reception needs updating it’s very scruffy and dirty - it does not give a good first impression. Also although our room was very nice the balcony outside was really filthy it needed cleaning - we were in room 119. And when we got there the shower plug hole had dirty scum down it - I let the reception know twice but no cleaner came -in the end managed to find the cleaning manager who dealt with it. The last night I didn’t sleep as the noise from above our room was loud -pacing and thudding noise in early hours of morning. Also it’s a bit expensive Ā£6 a day to park in the hotels car park -other hotels do it for less-Ā£2.

Very friendly staff. The lift is in need of maintenance, and would get stuck in the basement. The room was large, clean and comfortable, but the shower was only warm and took a long time to heat up. Breakfast was good, and I am still full.
