Great location but such a shame!!
Location was perfect for getting to the Congress Theatre.
Room was old and tired, dirty carpets, chipped bath, mismatched bathroom, mattress lumpy and seen better days. It was like stepping back in time. Breakfast was awful, bacon dry n crispy, cold tinned tomatoes, watery eggs, sausages and hash browns looked nice but tasted odd and bland.

Fantastic staff. And entertainment.food good.and choice x4. Room dusty everywhere.cleaned remote. Back of TV. Window sills. Think maybe housekeeping have lost their spark. Damp on wall. Bathroom dated.couldnt open window. No extractor. Shower head needs cleaning.plug in oil heater

But one lift working and needs updating. The stairs /bedrooms need a serious overall. And then you are charged six pound per night to park. The staff of the hotel are the asset here. And need a pat on the back. There are no games etc for children. And the pier is closed during winter. So limited. I had one of the best curries at this hotel.

Location is great, staff were helpful and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were good.
Hotel needs renovation work. Very old and creaky. Bathroom window had mould, windows need repainting, walls need repainting.

Comfortable, friendly staff, nice breakfast but very tired hotel
Breakfast was good with lots of choice and quality food, staff throughout the hotel really friendly, comfy bed, bathroom looked like it had recently been renovated, great location for town centre and seafront. Entertainment in the evenings good. Parking convenient
Room was deemed a 'superior' however bathroom door handle coming loose, gap above the bathroom door with a very crooked door / frame, window frames in bedroom leaky and in need of repair or replacement, several what looked like cigarette burns on the carpet? The room seemed really tired. Was only superior really in size. Only one 1 lift working (out of 2), which is the same as a few months ago when we last stayed. We used the stairs most of the time as the 1 lift was having a job to cope. There were large buckets collecting (presumably) rain water from the ceiling, which was slightly worrying as that was on the ground floor which has 4 floors above it! And lastly our first impressions of the room, were walking in to flick the light switch and nothing happening. Eventually after making our way in the dark to the bedside table (well into the room) we found a bedside light. Turns out the light switch by the door is redundant with no light on the ceiling!! There's just a blanking plate on the ceiling, so why the light switch?!
