We last stayed at this hotel, two years ago, and it was tired then, now it is almost beyond tired with little or no maintenance done. Since we were there last two years ago, everywhere is dirty, walls, doors the lift, I had booked three rooms for myself and Friends, fortunately, mine was the best of the bunch, there’s not so good, one of the rooms was so dirty in the bathroom it was absolutely disgusting, the toilet seat was broken and fell off, and maintenance, just sat it back on the pan which was dangerous, had somebody sat on it. They should’ve been moved to a new room or not charged in my opinion.

A pleasant place to stay. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The room was a decent size with a large window. The food was good, catering for vegetarians. No biscuits on the coffee tray in the room. The window rattled badly. The bed was a bit hard but that's just my opinion, others may really like it.

Overall a good stay The room was clean and tidy although very hot! We turned the radiator off to make it more comfortable, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean.
The breakfast was nice albeit quite basic, so I think the price for one night with breakfast was a little steep.
There was a very strong smell of fried food/chips coming in through the window which we had to leave open as the room was so hot.

Worth the price but not luxury. The Burlington is 150 years old. It’s grand in size but is a little run down. Maybe it’s hard to keep up with the maintenance when you have over 100 rooms. That said, the staff are lovely and the breakfast is good. Single glazing is a pain as it means it sounds like there is a hurricane going on in your room most nights. The radiators also sound a bit like a waterfall in your room. The place has character - a bit like your first car - and the smallest passenger lift ever! Double glazing.

Very enjoyable stay Convenient location, comfortable room, very good breakfast, easy check in check out, nice bar and dining room. En suite was cramped (WC), but good shower, a bit tired in places but still good value for money. Well used, fairly busy hotel, could do with refurbishing in places but still comfortable and would recommend

Property is impressive from the outside.
Carpet on ground floor stairs needs replacing and looks rather grubby compared to rest of hotel. Hotel is warm ,free WiFi and otherwise clean. Nice ensuite bathroom. Parking is £6 in hotel carpark at back of hotel (valid up to 3 pm next day)

Overall excellent value for money. Very clean, Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Competitive drink and food price. Good value for money. The premises are a little dated and could do with updating.

On the plus side the staff were extremely helpful and courteous The breakfast I’m afraid was awful. Cold bacon and very tough with no flavour. Only one choice of egg which was scrambled and very watery. Tea was already made from
a thermos flask which was awful as I like a strong tea so would have preferred tea bags. The orange juice was extremely sour. We were very disappointed and decided not to go down for breakfast the following day.
We had cobwebs in our room, not acceptable. Our tv had to be changed as the picture was pink. There was no iron so we had to ask to borrow one. The hand soap dispenser very hard to use, had to use two hands to get soap out. Breakfast awful.

The Burlington had some mixed reviews which made us a little apprehensive but we had an absolutely fantastic stay and would not hesitate to book again. It was excellent value for money for a lovely room with a sea view. The room had a warm, cosy feel and was very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we both slept well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The bar has a lovely sea view, Ethan and Danielle were polite, humorous and played some perfect tunes for a sunny afternoon. The breakfast was a buffet and had everything you would need. Alberto was so helpful in recommending a table and quickly cleaned it for us as the previous guests left.
Highly recommended from us and we will definitely be staying again. Many thanks to all for making our rare stay away perfect!

Good location, reasonable price, would be happy to stay again. Efficient reception staff, had upgraded to better room for small extra cost and had requested lower floor/near lift. Staff had correct room ready when we arrived.
Very pleasant room, comfy bed, great view and a bit more spacious than some we have stayed in - Superior Twin with sea view.
Buffet style breakfast, light and pleasant dining room.
Lift worked fine.
Stains on bedroom carpet.
Very shabby in some of the common areas - especially bashed woodwork on stairway.

Very comfortable room with a beautiful sea view. The hotel has been very grand but is now a bit run down in the entrance, lift and communal areas but it has everything you could need.
