Staff were very pleasant and courteous. We arrived back at the hotel late from a birthday party and were let in by a very friendly and courteous member of staff. Reception staff were very helpful and nice too.

Disappointing breakfast, scrambled egg made from liquid eggs, we are no longer in the post war years, eggs are widely available from Sussex farms.
The whole Hotel had an air of I have seen better days about it, needs to be redecorated.

Very accommodating staff with our requests, particularly helpful reception staff. Comfortable beds. Fantastic location and sea views. .Ate dinner in restaurant one night - good quality and price. Will definitely eat dinner on our next visit!
Breakfast seems to be trying to cost cut on staff. Last time we visited tea/coffee was served. Now all self service. Just a little thing and some guests may prefer this way. Staff available were very accommodating and helpful.

Settling and comfortable.
Loved the convenience the short walking distance to the beach, the shops just at the back, the food was good, the staff were always very charming and ready to assist , one even went distance to find us a mobile charger. Staff were kind and polite to the guests.
The interiors need modernising but we didn't expect it from a Victorian building.

Cheap and cheed
Perfect location in centre of everything! Breakfast was lovely, really had everything you could have needed and lots of staff on hand to clean away and help out.
Bed was ridiculously hard!! And pillows didn't have a lot of substance. I was at the back of hotel, above some kind of fan which was so noisy I had to keep window shut and it was boiling hot in room. Also there was a bag of rubbish placed out side bedroom window on the outside ledge from previous occupants, which was missed by the cleaners. Finally, the toilet was touching the wall next to it so you had to sort of sit sideways... it was weird and uncomfortable. Staff were fabulous and went above and beyond in several areas, just a shame the building is getting a bit creaky, leaky and very dated!! But cheap and cheerful, only needed for 1 night stop over so it did the job perfectly!

Nice Hotel - would recommend it.
We loved the beautiful view from the bar area and the bar drinks are very reasonable for a hotel. The bed was nice and comfortable and the room was nice and big. Lovely staff, nice food in the bar. The food in the restaurant was OK, turned up within a minute of ordering it which was a bit odd, nevertheless, the food was nice. Would definitely stay again. The location is fantastic, lovely views out to the pier.
My only negative is that I booked a superior double and I got a view of the car park / the bit out the back of the hotel could do with a bit of a paint job.

The staff were extremely helpful. Made my wife and I feel welcome. Gave me directions to park my car behind the hotel in there own car park. We would recommend this hotel. Location is brilliant, near to the town and right on the seafront.

The hotel is in a great location. We had 3 rooms, one of which had been fairly recently renovated whilst the other two were very tired.
There was an issue with one of the rooms being paid for partly with CC vouchers and the hotel saying they hadn’t received payment even though I had evidence of paying. The General Manager was extremely rude when I tried to show my evidence and walked off leaving a junior member of staff trying to sort it out. It was eventually resolved thanks to their persistence.
All staff other than the GM were lovely but his rudeness has meant I won’t be returning.
