During my recent stay at the Burlington Hotel, I encountered a few issues. One of the lifts was out of service, and the operational one was quite small, accommodating only two people comfortably. The reception staff seemed a bit impolite when I requested additional pillows; I was provided with one that was so flat it was practically unusable. Furthermore, there were no housekeeping services, and the bins were not emptied, nor were the beds made. While breakfast was pleasant, it was an additional charge and not included in the room rate. The hotel's location is excellent, situated right on the beach with views of the pier and close to the shopping district. However, there was a noticeable damp odor in the corridor. The room itself was a good size, but many items appeared to be askew. The bathroom was spacious, but lacked a place to set clothes while showering. The exterior of the hotel appears to be in need of significant renovation.

I booked the Burlington and the other hotel, and despite its lower review rating, the Burlington is much, much better than the other hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There for every need. My husband needed an extension lead for his bipap machine and it was arranged straight away. The seaview room was excellent. Great entertainment, separate bar with food. The breakfast was lovely 🤩 so much choice. Continental, British fry up .juice ,tea and coffee. The main hall was stunning with beautiful chandeliers . I will be going there regularly. Real gem

Hotel has bar and Restraunt facilities. Buffet breakfast excellent for £10.

Eastbourne is a nice coastal town with pebble beach. The Burlington is good value for money hotel. old building, a little run down but comfortable, breakfast was a self service buffet, well presented and well worth the money.

Deadbolt to leave the room jammed and I could not exit. Attempted to call front desk and realized there was no phone in room. Finally made it out and all hotel did was move my room, no offer of an upgrade of compensation. Checked out a day early and they still charged the full stay.

Breakfast menu was fine plenty of choice. Room had sea view. Generally room would benefit from a deep clean. The carpet was very worn in the window area. There was no plug in the bath and despite requesting one as soon as we arrived it was not supplied during our stay.

Burlington is still a great place to stay however they must review their housekeeping on cleaning

Usually love it but so disappointed this time, will have to think again in the future.
Have stayed here numerous times and have been comfortable and happy. Executive Rooms are a great size with a lovely sea view. Clean for the most part and a great location. Staff are always excellent.
I was so disappointed this time round. When we arrived only one lift was working and it was the size of a coffin. Says it should hold 4 people but could just about fit 2 without bags which had to go separately. I had asked for a low floor because I know the lifts are tiny and I’m claustrophobic and because of my disability cannot do stairs but was given the 2nd floor and could not be moved. I had no choice but to use this tiny lift which left me distressed every time i had to go downstairs. Just to top it off, got woken up at 7.30 in the morning by a howling dog in the room above.

Great Hotel a lot of character, rooms a bit outdated.
In the Hotel you can see the allure it must have had in its glory days, we really liked that. It has beautiful rooms downstairs, the restaurant the ball room, etc. The staff is ever so friendly. The view from the bedrooms is beautifull with the Pier in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is very good, full english or a lighter version, you can take wathever you want. We asked for a packed lunch on Saterday, if you go for a long hike I can reconmend it, delicious sandwiches, a bag of crisps, a chocolate treat and a drink. Saterday night there was a lady singing live music, which was very good, it was our last night, so that was a great end of our stay at the Burlington. I think it was great value for money, we will be back
