Disadvantages were that the room was a little bland, grey and bare and extremely hot at night but breakfast was good, great to be right on the sea front and parking available for modest fee. Plenty of lounge, bar and conservatory space .Also a very reasonable offer price wise so can't really complain.

We recently stayed at the Burlington Hotel, Eastbourne for the third time. Each time the staff have been very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is very good, especially the scrambled eggs! and it is in a great location on the seafront and close to the pier.

Just returned from a weekend away with friends (2 couples). We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel based on the budget price we paid via booking.com. We booked a standard room and it was very spacious with everything we needed including kettle with supplies of tea/coffee, sugar and milk. It was very clean throughout. Buffet all you can eat breakfast was really good and included cereal, toast, croissants, pain au chocolat fruit as well as cooked breakfast items. Paid for car park for hotel residents directly behind the hotel, very handy. We found all staff, whatever role, to be friendly, helpful and attentive. For any guests who like a bit of bling, check out the silver/crystal jewellery display cabinet near reception if you want to treat yourselves. Great location for the town centre - 10 minute walk. Would definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at The Burlington, and I have to say it was a lovely stay.
I was awoken in a morning to the wonderful views overlooking the pier.
The staff their are attentive and have great customer service. A huge thanks to the Operations Manager and to Nicci, Sarah, Sophie, Jack, Danielle, Joe, Tom and Eathan for making me feel welcome in Eastbourne.
The breakfast buffet, offers a choice for everyone.
I was staying in a superior double with sea view and the room was spacious and comfortable.
Thank you also to Victor, Beatrice and eva in housekeeping aswell as their teams for keeping the rooms so lovely.
Thank you for a lovely stay, and I hope to visit again sometime.

Mum and I stayed at the Burlington on a mystery coach weekend tour. We had a nice room overlooking the sea front. The hotel does need updating but the room was clean. Evening meals were nice, but the breakfast was cold on one of the days. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly

Had a mystery trip here for a friend's 50th. The place is very outdated but the hotel atmosphere so welcoming and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was so nasty, breakfast was lovely, the rooms were clean and beds comfortable.
The view was lovely. We had a sea view only one problem it is absolutely boiling in the rooms had to get up early hours to open the windows so hot.

We booked a short break at the Burlington hotel Eastbourne. This is an old characterful hotel that was clean, warm with helpful staff. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. A good overall experience.

If you’re looking for a budget hotel right on the seafront, this is a good choice. The hotel is nice though the rooms need work, but you get what you pay for. If you’re looking 4 or 5 star hotel, this isn’t it.
Staff were friendly and breakfast was good with good selection.
Be careful of parking though. Hotel car park isn’t very big and hotel charge you if you’re planning on parking in it on arrival whether you have a space or not!

Schönes altes Hotel direkt an der Strandpromenade von Eastbourne. Etwas angestaubter Charme. Gutes Frühstück. Akzeptabele Preise. Very british.
Könnte mal renoviert werden.

Staff are super helpful. Breakfast was fantastic buffet. All items well cooked & toaster was quick. Some general maintenance badly needed to bring up to better standard of decoration. Bed was comfy, sheets & towels spotless. Nice view from room 110. Would stay again. Belgian Cafe next door was very good.

My 5 nights were survived by me, and I went away longing for a good meal after the dinners I had had here at this hotel. After my first cooked breakfast I resolved to have muesli only. The Reception staff were formal, and checking in was that. They changed my room for me so that I could have a bath. However, the water did not get really hot. It was tepid or warm. The heating gave way, and the whole hotel seemed to be without heating for the weekend. A valve needed replacing. A fellow guest who was on her own started complaining to myself and others, and others rather kept silent.I like faded glory, and back staircases and space on the ground floor was good. It was the poor food with a daily menu of 4 choices for the main meal which only had some changes that makes me give this review.

Sorry for the late review, but on the 20th of January we had a staff party at The Burlington and have to say they all worked so hard and gave us a fantastic time. So much so we plan to return. Thank you Lewis, Matt, Nicky, Ann and rest of team for the brilliant night.

Brilliant staff. Especially Nicky. Great rooms, views, location, etc. Hotel can do with a lick of paint as it were. But nothing wrong with it if you're not too fussy or finicky. All clean and tidy and comfy.

Highly recommend, nice and clean rooms.
Small double is what you'd expect, bit fifdicilt getting in and out of the bathroom. Wouldn't suit a larger or disabled person.
Superior double is really big and spacious.
Family room is superb. Big bay window overlooking the pier. Separate single room.
The prices for the rooms are unbelievably cheap. Would stay again!! 👌

Decent enough hotel, especially for the price point it’s well located on the seafront and close to town centre. The room could have done with a deeper clean, but it wasn’t dirty with clean bedding and a stocked bathroom. However our room was absolutely boiling - even with the radiator off (outside temperature was -2) we had to keep the windows open and a fan on in order to make the room a temperature that could be slept in

Beautiful, big sea front hotel. Very concerned when online check in was not working and couldn’t get hold of hotel but there wasn’t anything to worry about as staff on site.
Great location, traditional Victorian (I believe) building and representative of the local area. Has a holiday feel as sea views and lots of coach parties.
