Excellent location with a sea view for Airshow. Good breakfast although no mushrooms and eggs only scrambled

A very comfortable stay. The only down point is that when i asked the housekeeper thati need to changed my tea cups. She told that she not allowed and they only cleaned the mugs with a towel without washing the dirty mugs.

The whole hotel needs a makeover. Very old and in terrible condition.
Breakfast was poor and often had to wait for food and drinks to be refilled.
The room was very hot and the fan that they had provided was noisy, so it was difficult to get any sleep.

Good location
The hotel is right over the road from the pier, the staff were really friendly
We had paid £814 for six nights without breakfast in a deluxe room, it really wasn't deluxe, there was loose wallpaper on the walls in places, bath trim hanging off, there had obviously been a leak from upstairs at some point which had been patched up quite badly, our bath ran away very slowly until I realised the plughole was full of someone else's hair, other than that the hotel is ok but I just don't think our room was worth the money compared to deluxe rooms we have stayed in in other hotels

It is a 3 star hotel and it provided that standard
breakfast was good staff did well to keep up with demand on food supplied. We were a party of 5 and two out of 3 breakfasts they refused to put tables together for us claiming it would block fire escapes but they just needed to be yes people instead of no as other staff were quite happy to accommodate us in a group. Our room was good - my daughter who was in 306 or 307 had a shower with a missing plug and it was not as clean as it could have been - the wc was also squeezed in to the shower room when the room was very spacious. The view was good but that is why I chose that hotel in that location so it should be. The outside of the windows could do with a clean though,
the one very small and elderly lift was essential as we were on the 4th floor but it was very poor and the door did not always close when we arrived but as the weekend progressed with many people using it, it seemed to get better as closing its door. The second lift was out of order and according to people who had stayed last year it was out of order then. The one small lift is not really sufficient for the size of the hotel

Staff were very friendly, Danielle and Joe especially. Location excellent
The hotel needs a lot of updating and decorating. We had a leaky tap in bathroom and no cold water in shower. Only 1 lift was working out of 2 and that was very rickety with the doors not shutting at times. There was only entertainment on Thursday night nothing for the rest of the weekend.

Staff was very helpful and friendly but one member of staff went out her way to make our stay brilliant, the lady was the bar manager, we had afternoon cream tea and the lady got my 5 years old Granddaughter a cheese sandwich and some milk ,Thank you.
Only having one lifted working, we had a older friend with us with walking stick who could walk up the stairs like us .

Just a few issues very clean,we are staying again next year,grandchildren loved it as did we.
The staff were all very nice,the rooms including bathroom were very clean,beds were comfotable
The lift situation needs sorting out,1 of the lifts appears to have been out of action for a while.The second lift didnt feel very safe and did get stuck on the basement.The staff were very quick to rectify when told about it,The restaurant was clean.not much of a selection for breakfast,we were booked in for evening meal for 2 nights,i am not a fussy eater but i like basic food we ate on the first night i had sausage an mash,lovely sausages,my daughter and grandson had fish and chips which were not very nice,they had no childrens menu.The menu for the second night had nothing that i or my daughter would eat,so we ended up with McDonalds

Staff on reception really helpful, breakfast area staff were really kind with elderly guests, getting their breakfasts if they couldn't go up to get their own. location was great, on the seafront, and hotel car park available.
The amount of dust on the door surrounds, door hinges, and shelves. The tv was really tiny, and didn't work. Breakfast was ok, but long wait for egg to come out when it was used up, so one of us had eggs with our breakfast, the other didn't, and more eggs had not come out before we had finished our breakfast. Decor was dated, which would have been acceptable if it was really clean.

I must be honest as I read reviews and use them to makes decisions , plus side the staff are lovely and helpful , the bed was clean and we had a great nights sleep , shower was hot 🔥. This hotel is a grand old girl but very tired looking and kinda stuck in the 60/70s . There was mold around the bath taps and the floor could have done with a good clean in the bathroom . We went for the 3 course meal in the evening and I'm afraid it was disappointing even though it was 20 quid . The lift was broken at times causing a backlog of elderly customers battling the stairs . We had a weird smell in our room not sure how to describe it really . Anyway the staff where very nice even though they are up against it here . Someone needs to inject some money onto this old girl before she dies :( ☹. It done us for 1 night after the airshow so thats my balanced review . Good luck for the future guys .

I liked the location and the sea view room.
The staff where lovely friendly and helpful. THe bed was too small and asoo. As u enter the room it had a strong smell of the toilets. carpet could do with upgrading as it is old and ripped. Also the room needs to be dusted as it was full of dust.

Location was brilliant. The sea view of the pier was amazing. The room was huge. The bed/pillows were super comfortable.
The small table was broken but still placed, had you not noticed & placed a cup of tea on it, it could have been a scalding accident. The hairdryer was clunky & pathetic, it overheated & turned off when I hadn’t finished. The building is obviously very old & you literally cant step anywhere without the floor creaking, same for room above you. The TV wasn’t netflix etc compatible.
