I found the staff at the hotel very helpful and kind.
The breakfast was good however they did seem to run out of things quite quickly so I had to ask for various items to be replenished.

Well what can we say, yes the hotel is a little tired & could do with updating but for the price it was perfectly acceptable. Our room was big as was our bathroom, it was clean & the towels were just perfect. TV, hairdryer, dressing table, wardrobe & a table & 2 chairs. The floors are wonky which you expect in an old building & gave me & mum a few laughs while we were there! The staff were beyond helpful, so friendly & really couldn't do enough for you, we can't compliment them enough, just sorry we didn't get to say bye to Danielle when we left but she was busy (as always) Matt went out of his way to help us, finding out all the details of Airbourne & the Chinnock for me & we all got on like a house on fire, the reception staff were also really helpful, answering any questions I had. There was entertainment every other night which we weren't expecting so that was an added bonus, the food was great (would've preferred fried eggs for breakfast instead of scrambled but hey) the restaurant staff were brilliant, nothing was too much... Infact we didn't want to come home we were having such a great time.

Great hotel, lovely view and easy access to the beach and shops
The room was lovely. Had a very nice reception and staff willing to help. Great sea view. Lovely to sit and watch the sea.
It's an old building only one lift, which was small, but very fast for its age. The decor is a bit dated too, stains on carpets, paint chipped.
The room was NOT cleaned well, bedding was good, towels good.
The bathroom had 2 toilet rolls that were nearly ran out, the whole shower seal and inside could of been cleaned much better there was even a hair in the shower that was black and curly.
Sadly at night you can hear people sat out on the beach. But this is no fault of the hotel.
Parking is limited, but knew that before we arrived.
All that said. YES I would stay again, as it was very central, just dated and the cleaners need to clean a bit better.

Basic but fantastic location. Room was noisy through the night, but the location and great staff made up for it. Spectacular views. Nice spot and we had no plans to visit the area - it was a last minute decision.
Very noisy rooms. Footsteps through the night from upper levels. However, to be expected from older hotels and not something the staff could change anyway.

We were looking to book something for the bank holiday weekend , I found this hotel available, but having read the reviews, I said to my partner I did not like the sound of this hotel, but we booked it on her say so.. and have to say what an excellent experience, room was lovely, food was great, location couldn't of been any better, staff were fantastic and great value for money, would I use this hotel again.. Absolutely.

My wife and I stayed in room 320 for our anniversary which is a superior Seaview room. The room was very clean and spacious with wonderful views of the sea front, pier and down toward the Eastbourne wheel . We were on a half board package which included dinner and breakfast, both of which were absolutely delicious and we did not go away hungry.
All of the staff were extremely friendly, and made our stay one to remember. Thank you to everyone.

This accommodation is located in a beautiful place. It's within walkable distance from the railway station and just in front of the beach. There are small restaurants and shops a few steps away, around the corner.
The room was clean, the hotel looks beautiful, WiFi worked well and it's equipped with everything a traveller needs. I'll book this again next time I'm in Eastbourne.

I chose the Burlington at a short notice hoping to find a place to stay for an overnight trip to Eastbourne. We had a really good night’s sleep, it was convenient to places that we wanted to go to. Staff were incredibly friendly and thanks to Tracy for making great recommendations for our short stay here.

As other reviewers have said the hotel could do with a makeover. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and our room had gorgeous sea view. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Great 1 night stay, visit to bandstand concert fantastic. Love the surrounding area and beach walks.
Breakfast OK, value for money. Staff friendly and helpful.Location amazing, close to theatres, sea front, pier.....brilliant. Entertainment was an added bonus on Saturday evening, good guitarist and vocalist.
Hotel in need of some tlc. But, clean and good value for money. Perhaps a lick of paint.

Staff great - facilities not so great
Staff were very nice and helpful. Nearby parking available (at a cost). Late checkout available. They allow dogs.
The place was tired and dated and in need of refurbishment. The cots was quite expensive probably due to the location but for the money paid I expected better quality accommodation. The hotel needs and complete refurb and in my opinion is only still going because of the care and attention of the staff who were very helpful and accommodating. One of the two lifts was not working (and had not been for quite some time apparently) which is not very good when the majority of the guests appeared to be on the elderly side.
