Would not go back in summer and would ask for a better room. Downstairs view. Paid for a sea view but was told when arrived could not guarantee The heat in the room, not able to fully open the window. Fan was provided but did not help much. Bathroom door did not close. Damp on the walls in the room and staining on the coving.

Very enjoyable stay adjacent to beach and town. Staff were especially friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Spacious rooms and public areas plus superb location seafront. Also good parking available. Lift in poor condition, needs replacing. Room sash windows need updating to improve ventilation and reduce traffic noise.

A good stay we didn’t let the small issues ruin are stay The room had a lovely view but was very old and needs updating and was extremely hot also the lift is to small we waited a long time to use it as there were so many elderly people waiting to use it we thought the breakfast was very good we could not fault it and the young lady who was at the door was very helpful also when we arrived the lady at reception was lovely very helpful The lift and air conditioning

Breakfast was good, and situated near pier and amenities Close to all amenities and town Bit tired looking, needs a kick of paint
Only one lift working which was not good
Toilet seat broken and bathroom was very narrow.
Had I been overweight I wouldn’t have been able to sit on the toilet

Sovereign Harbour is a relatively new development . When I lived in Eastbourne, it was fisherman's huts and fishing boats, a bit of a no man's land. The harbour is worth a look if you like boats and you can go on a boat ride. Plenty of places for coffee ,a drink or food
Retail park nearby has some large outlets e.g Asda,Matalan and TKmax. Good parking
This place is best seen at night and is very attractive when lit up.

Reception area was very clean and inviting. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Our room 339 was large with large ensuite. Bed was very comfortable and room fresh and clean. The only downsidd was the view which we knew it would be when we booked. If we had stayed longer than 1 night we would have gone for a Seaview room.
The big downside was the lift. Only 1 lift working and it was very tired and shabby.
Overall a good experience.
Car park an added bonus
Only 1 lift working and needs updating

I arrived late past midnight due to Rail Strike, traffic, connectivity and the consequences. And the staff happily greet It’s location definitely; right at the Seafront next to Eastbourne Pier, the main attractions.

Location, dining room, breakfast, bar, and spacious quiet comfortable bedroom - all great. All staff were friendly and helpful. Car park is a bit hit and miss. You pay for a day from 3 to 3, but if you leave and it fills up, you may not get back in!

Broadband was too slow compared with other large hotels we've stayed in.

Will definitely stay again. We loved it! Great condition old hotel. Welcoming lobby, well maintained throughout. Spacious rooms with a lovely sea view. Good access for our elderly relative. Great location. Amazing helpful friendly staff. Lovely food The lift was a little unpredictable! One of our rooms had unclean windows, so the view was not perfect. The seeds on the breakfast buffet tasted off. I did tell a member of staff

Functional hotel, good value for money. No air conditioning. This is a basic accommodation but clean and friendly. Clean and friendly Untidy area at the rear of the hotel around the car park. Potentially a rat run.

I had read a few reviews before visiting the Burlington so it was just about what I expected. A beautiful old fashioned hotel on a British seafront. It's clean and friendly, the food is good and the atmosphere fairly welcoming. A little run down but that doesn't get in the way. Eastbourne is lovely.

I love how vintage this hotel is. It's so peaceful here and the location is amazing. The staff members I spoke to we're all so happy to help and very friendly. I'm so happy with the room we were given, way better than expected, it was so spacious, clean and comfortable. The double bed seemed very small, and the mattress was quite hard.
