the hotel was booked for elderly mum and friend this is the 4 time this year the staff are all very nice and helpful and make them feel welcome and are very accommodating they will be back again soon

Tired but adequate
Brilliant location and car park was handy once you found it behind the hotel. communication from staff beforehand was brilliant and staff service during the stay was brilliant too.
The listed status means the windows are not muffling any of the outside noise, we were in room 225 (standard side sea view) and you could hear the pedestrian crossing everytime someone pressed it - no matter the hour. Bugs squished into the curtain netting and the blue light needs covering so you can try and sleep.
The decor is really dated, you can see where theyve tried but the carpets all need re doing, and our room clearly had had some water damage at some point - evident in the wallpapered ceiling and again the carpets. the hotel looks so tired from the outside and this carries on throughout. Dont book in advance either as we did and paid 104 room only and on the day this dropped to 95 including breakfast or 104 with breakfast and dinnerđ€

Good location and friendly hotel
Great location on sea front next to Pier. Local area had lots of cafés and shops. Hotel itself had very friendly staff and room was perfectly adequatem

As a disclaimer, I booked this room as it was the cheapest hotel in Eastbourne which included breakfast and WiFi.
The breakfast staff were very friendly and attentive.
The room was fine for sleeping and watching tv
The location is good, being right on Eastbourne seafront by the pier and within a 5min walk of the town centre
Breakfast had a nice variety of cooked foods, cereals, and toast, with tea, coffee, and juices (albeit the food isn't amazing quality but truthfully, for what you pay for a room and breakfast with location, you can't argue with the quality of what you get, pleasant enough and a nice dining area with views over the seafront to eat) The WiFi did not connect in my room, to neither my iPhone or laptop, I had to go downstairs to the foyer to contact to the WiFi (I guess the router signal didn't stretch that far) so for a hotel which offers free WiFi, not great it doesn't actually extend to all rooms
There was entertainment in the bar most nights until 11pm, bit odd on weeknights but not a problem. The issue I had was that the bar was directly below my room so it was very loud until 11pm when the entertainment stopped and sleep before wasn't going to happen
Word of advice - either take your own toilet roll, or buy some from one of the many local shops, as what the hotel provides can only be described as the cheapest, most low quality toilet roll a supermarket would sell

We felt as if we were in our second home because the staff were super friendly, hospitable and professional. Our double room is very spacious. Breakfast is great, the lounge is big, have car park, staff is helpful. smelly room, lots of stain in the carpet, toilet wouldn't flush properly. The building as a whole is out dated. Windows in single room wouldn't open. Net curtains is dirty. molds in the shower room.

Staff at the Burlington are all very friendly. The location is excellent with parking behind the hotel which is a bonus. The breakfast was also excellent with a good selection. We had a evening meal there which was also very good. There was also entertainment on the Thursday evening which once again was very good and enjoyable.
I felt the bathroom in our room was a bit shabby and could have done with a make over.

Best view in Eastbourne
The view of the Eastbourne pier can't be beaten. The rooms that have a sea view are worth the extra fee. There is so much to do in the area as well.
They need to assess their carpets in the rooms, maybe upgrade them eventually

The room we had needed a massive referb and repairs.. wallpaper falling of walls, stains on walls. Carpets had stains.. bathroom was very old and needs a complete refurbish. Rooms could also do with some extra little touches, toiletries, water, fridge. The TV was tiny and sitting in a bedside unit, could barely see it and positioned right behind main door.would advise wall mounted swivel TV bracket. To make more space. At dinner times we had to keep asking for our water to be filled up, maybe just leave a jug of water on each table.. very small portions of food at dinner service, but I think they cater more for the elderly. No usb plug sockets, we had an extension lead to plug all our things into..

My room was big with a nice view of the hills behind. It was quiet. The staff were very kind and helpful. Anything I asked for they were happy to help with. I love the location of this hotel. Its right across from the beach and sea, and as a swimmer I walked right across the road and onto the beach for many nice swims. Also the hotel is very near to and within an easy walking distance from many nice restaurants, cafes, shops and the town centre. I like the breakfasts too. It's mainly self service and with many nice cold and hot foods to choose from. Also this hotel has a lot of old fashioned character, which I much prefer personaly to modern and soulless architecture. I have stayed here before and would definitely recommend and I will stay again.
