Good value and convient Friendly staff. Late check in very useful as I arrived off the ferry. Good breakfast looking at a beautiful sunrise over the sea.

I have stayed twice at this hotel and I’ve had very different experiences both times. The “buffet” breakfast was completely different from 2022 ,as it wasn’t a buffet. I had to wait 10 minutes for somebody to bring me a very small English breakfast as before this arrived, there was just granola and cornflakes. No more fresh bread and all the many things I came back for in 2024. The bathrooms need serious TLC and the floors are very loud but the sea view is worth it .The staff are lovely as before. I was just dissatisfied with the breakfast but everything else was good for the price I paid per night .

Really nice place for a short break with stunning sea view but definitely the property needs more refurbishing specially the lifts.

I don’t know why all the very harsh comments about the building etc I stayed in room 122 for 4 nights and Honestly could not fault the room the bathroom nor the service I was provided With the only thing I didn’t like was the food but big shout out to Joe who I believe is the bar manager he’s so friendly and helpful costumer service at its best to be fair all the staff here were very helpful and kind all very happy to help and all got a big smile 😊 I couldn’t believe how cheap it was for the value we got will defo stay again!!

Recommended! Gorgeous views to the sea!
The rooms are really big, the bed is a king or queen size. There is a room service every day if you require it. In one room we had a coffee machine with coffee pods, bottled water and cookies, as well as a kettle and instant coffee , tea, sugar.
Receptionist and cleaning ladies were very helpful, kind and professional.
The restaurant and pub area are big, there were live music evenings organised downstairs on several nights.
It's warm and smells nice in the corridor.
Unfortunately old and dirty windows, maybe it's time to change or at least to clean the frames and change the curtain nets...?
The entrance looks dodgy due to broken glass door with a playwood board on.
Rooms are quiet normally, unless you get a drunk neighbor who slams the door every 5 minutes until 1am ... But it's not the hotel's fault...or maybe it is because the rooms have the type of the door which you need to slam loudly to close it properly.

A positive stay! Good value. Someone is trying hard to re vitalise this hotel. Nice to hear the waves crashing from the sea facing room. Good bathtub, but I had to ask for room with a tub. Yup overall a good stay. Checkout could be later maybe? No more scrambled eggs at brekky? Easy to solve!

Old and outdated with bits of modernisation, the full function of the TV was not a parent Close to the city centre and they had a back door to go to the car park The lift was very rocky and old and outdated, which to be honest fitted in with the hotel

Welcoming, comfortable and roomy The staff were very helpful. The room was spacious, warm and the tv and wifi worked well. The beds were very comfortable and there were more pillows and blankets if we needed them The shower was good, but the water was barely warm. It did not bother us as we were leaving.

Everything I expected and more. The room was adequate. The view from the balcony was amazing. The bed was very comfy and the room was ince and cosy. Part of the reason we came to this particular hotel was because we could bring our dog. The quality of the breakfast was great with the self service trays of food constantly being checked and topped up if necessary.

Great place to stay, probably the best in Eastbourne that I have stayed. The rooms are excellent, I booked through Groupon and we had a very large seafront room, with 3 windows overlooking the carpet gardens and pier. It had a large comfortable bed, a sofa a brilliant large surround sound TV. A dressing table with tea and coffee, bottled water and biscuits. It even had a coffee machine, with lots of pods, along with a kettle.
It had extra pillows which weren't needed and a iron and ironing board and a very powerful hairdryer.
The bathroom was amazing with a separate shower and bath, really large bathroom and was very warm with a heated towel rail.
It was a very inviting room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and efficient.
The reception staff booked us in quickly and when we left we were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room.
The breakfast was amazing and the staff in the restaurant are so helpful and friendly to. The breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of tea and coffee and juices, good choice of cereals.
The cooked breakfast was the best I have had in hotel, all cooked well, the eggs, mushrooms, bacon, hash browns, baked beans, plum tomatoes and the sausages were so tasty and seasoned. Couldn't fault it. They never ran out of anything and it was very busy.
It's situated right on the seafront, right near the pier and you only have to walk down Terminus road, which is just down the side of the hotel and you are right in the middle of the shops. Only just down the road from the bus stop and only 20 minutes walk to the station.
Would definitely recommend it to anyone and I would definitely book again. Looking for a week at Easter.
Lovely building Grade II listed.

2nd stay here in December. First time round was nicer and room seemed newer but we only used it to sleep in and for cost it was perfect. Have family in Eastbourne so will use again I'm sure 2nd room was dated and just kinda mismatched. Was adequate tho.
