Inconsistent Excellent location on the sea front, close to shops, cafes, pubs
All staff were helpful & polite especially Sandy & Anne from the restaurant who went above and beyond to accommodate us as my dad is disabled, nothing was too much trouble, these ladies made our stay more comfortable
At check in we found dad's room unsuitable for his needs, reception staff gave us a couple of keys to alternative rooms so we could decide which was best, so so thoughtful, considerate & absolutely amazing
Our rooms were clean & functional
Breakfast was simple but very tasty & plentiful, we didn't have dinner here
Bed was very comfy, storage plentiful
The hotel has 2 lifts, 1 out of order the other worked as & when it felt like it, not good when you're physically disabled
The disabled entrance is at the far end of the restaurant, a single glass door which was smashed & taped up
As for being disabled friendly, the wooden footplate was non functional, raised & not angled, dad's scooter couldn't negotiate it, we had to push it over, as did other guests
Also no lights were left on at night, very dangerous & inconsiderate
There were no public disabled toilet in the hotel
All in all not a very disabled friendly hotel, this could be improved with simple alterations
Carpets were very soiled in our bedroom & the curtain lining ripped
Shower was OK but leaked at the joints, Shower tray didn't empty quick enough so stood in dirty water
Photos of the hotel certainly weren't taken recently & don't show it as it is today, rather tired & in need of TLC
Bedroom furniture poor quality
Very dim lights in bedroom

Good but could be better. Old building, working hotel with 24/7 reception. Staff generally helpful. Breakfast service rushed, far too many relays done especially given the number of tables available. Plates are noticeably small probably to reduce consumption at the breakfast buffet.

Not much insulation at the top floor. Radiator not working, sink is half blocked. Had to borrow a 2nd spare radiator as the previous spare broke.

What a pleasant surprise! The superior sea view room is absolutely to die for! Facilites in the room were beautiful and up to standard. Everything you need in a hotel room is there. Wonderful! A bit hot in the morning because of the windows to be propped up to circulate some air. However, fans were provided and it was lovely.

I had a lovely sea view double room on the 4th floor. I think it nay have been newly refurbished. It was nice & warm and the bed was super comfortable.
One of the lifts were out of order so I used the stairs, but may have be a problem for some as it was quite a wait at times for the lift. Breakfast was delicious but the window seats seem to be reserved for long periods and nobody appears. Seems unfair. Its always nice to look out at the sea when eating instead of the phone.

Generally a good hotel, guest room recently decorated and pleasantly furnished.
Considering this was a superior double seaview room I would have expected body lotion, conditioner etc in the bathrom
Also instructions on how to use the coffee pod machine were missing
Breakfast very good

Was good. Ideal Location: Nestled in a prime spot, this hotel offers easy access to the heart of [city/town], making exploration effortless for guests. Whether it's strolling along scenic streets or accessing nearby attractions, the convenience of the location enhances the overall experience.

Lovely Views: From the moment you step into your room, prepare to be captivated by the stunning vistas on offer. Whether it's the sparkling city lights or the tranquil scenery of [natural feature], each glance out the window promises a visual treat, elevating your stay to a truly memorable one.

Exceptional Staff: The true essence of hospitality shines through in the staff's warm demeanor and genuine willingness to ensure every guest's comfort. From the front desk to housekeeping, their attentiveness and accommodating nature create an atmosphere of ease and relaxation, leaving you feeling well-cared-for throughout your stay.
Parking Charges: While the hotel offers a convenient parking option (if you can find a space), the additional cost for this amenity might come as a disappointment. It's worth considering including parking fees in the room rate to enhance the overall value proposition for visitors.

Culinary Experience: Unfortunately, the dining experience at the hotel fell short of expectations. Despite the diverse menu offerings, the quality of the food did not quite match up to the standards one would hope for. Enhancing the culinary offerings and focusing on quality ingredients could significantly elevate the dining experience for guests.

Awkward Bathroom Size: While the accommodations boast comfort and style, some guests might find the size of the bathrooms to be a bit cramped or inconvenient.

The lift was very small and did not want to get in, looked like it would fall down and could only fit 2 people in

Great location right on the promenade and safe parking at a reasonable rate. Staff mostly helpful. However I struggled to get a consistent Wi-Fi connection so ended up relying on my mobile data. When I enquired I was told it was fine on the fourth floor so there should be no problem on the first.

We liked the fact that it is close to the seafront and has its own carpark. The breakfast was ok. The potatoes tasted a bit soapy and the scrambled eggs were a bit watery. The room was nice and fairly recently decorated, it is what you would expect from an old building and the view was exceptional. The breakfast could have been better but it was catering for a very full restaurant. Apart from the breakfast everything was as we expected as we had been before.
