Fantastic location next to the pier we had a sea view room.
Walking distance from the shops had a relaxing visit.
The staff are very helpful.
The guest were also very friendly
It’s a grade listed building but needs a renovation carpets had marks on the skirting especially in the bathroom was horrible. The glass on the shower door needed refreshing.

The Burlington is an old hotel in need of some renovation.
Staff are great, breakfast is good. Location is very good, and even has some parking available.
Prices reflect this, I believe.
Great that it is dog friendly.

The hotel was lovely very dog friendly
The staff were great.
Though the bathroom could have done with good clean round shower and round toilet and sink the pipes were all green.
Also the door glass all over could have done with a clean many times in a day, very hard I know with lots of guests.
Attention to detail.
Paintwork all needs touching up.
We had a lovely time though.
Thanks

Pros: friendly staff, hotel in a great location for the seafront, spacious rooms, cheap rates.

Cons: dirty carpets and floors, housekeeping appears minimal, hard beds, building needs quite a bit of maintenance.

Didn't try the food here so can't comment on it. In my opinion the biggest and easiest way to improve the guest experience is to improve the standard of cleaning in guest rooms. It really is poor and makes a bad impression. Hairs in the bathroom, dirty carpets, dirty bins, cups not properly cleaned etc. I'm not surprised other reviews have mentioned vermin. I was so worried about that the whole time I stayed. The rooms need a deep clean. Only if that improved would I stay again.

Nice hotel, but needed ALOT OF TLC,the receptionist was very nice and helpful upon checking in as we're rest of staff except for a one male member at breakfast who was rude to all guests at 7.25am telling us we were not allowed in the restaurant because it wasn't open till 7,30 even though the doors were open and Nice polite young lady was taking room numbers from people, he even asked 1 lady to move tables after she started eating, also the breakfast chef could learn to give a smile and some manners,I don't think they cost anything.

The staff were amazing,Sarah,Nicci and Abbie went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and honestly helped me in what was a couple of very testing and difficult couple of days personally. The difference it makes to go to somewhere at the end of the day and feel welcome! Thanks guys x

Hang out there for four days; it's in a prime spot, price and location-wise, and it's a really old hotel.

Fantastic sea-view room, on the 4th floor, with view of the pier and floral gardens. Very good food. All in all, great value. Cheerful staff and good service.

Around 5pm Every Day There's A Murmaration Of Starlings Over The Pier, People From Around The World Come Just To See This Trust Me When I Say U Don't Want To Miss This, Try Google But Will Never Do Justice To Seeing With Naked Eye The Wandering Wallsgrove

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room we stayed in was large with all the normal amenities including one of the oldest shower fittings I've seen. Once you master the temperature balance you couldn't remember how you got there! Mind you that could have
been me. A bit dated but clean and cheap. Bar overlooks the pier and beach, best location in Eastbourne. Close to a street of restaurants and bars. Close to the Beacon Centre. Great location!

The first impression was not very good. You park at the back of the hotel, and the building looked awful. Booked in, and the lifts felt very old, and to be honest, a bit scary. But our room had been refurbished and was clean. We had a beautiful sea view with views of Eastbourne pier a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did go out but came back for the entertainment later on, which was a singer. Played various music, which was ok. Bar prices reasonable and bar staff attentive. For the price we couldn't fault it. But if you want 5 star, this isn't for you.

I can't see why there's so many negative reviews. Our room was spotless and had a lovely sea view. Our bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The hotel itself is an architectural timepiece and has way more character than your average chain Hotel.
The staff are warm and friendly and we both really enjoyed the night entertainment. The entertainer on Saturday did a quiz and then sung. Fair play to the guy, he was clearly a good singer and by the end of the evening most people were dancing.
Life's full of moaning Minnie's. I've enjoyed my stay here and will stay here again if I return to Eastbourne. Thank you.🙂

Equipe très sympa mais certaines chambres mériteraient d'être rénovées. Cela manque aussi d'insonorisation.
Emplacement quasi en face de la jetée, parfait.

Had a lovely stay here with my Granddaughter. Very central, nice help yourself buffet and the gentleman on reception, may have been the Manager , super friendly and efficient .
Yes the rooms are a little dated but everything else makes it a pleasant, cheap stay

This really is a great hotel. Staff are professional, friendly and go above and beyond to help. Location is superb. This was my second visit and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Facilities in the room are very good, a “proper” hairdryer, tea and coffee supplies are replenished whenever you want and the extra radiator works! Rates are very competitive and as a woman travelling alone I feel very safe and well looked after at the Burlington. Thank you to all the staff.

Was here on a Shearings trip
Most enjoyable few days. Staff so very pleasant and helpful.
Just a few things that might help
1. Breakfast was hot but nowhere to put plate while using self service
2. Limited hot food section as no fried eggs.
3. Evening meal was served on very small plates or even a bowl.
Although plates were hot food was only lukewarm

Large Hotel, but dated. Value for money. Single room, basic, but clean. Overlooking Harry Ramadan’s . Roadworks outside, had barriers with flashing lamps that stay on all night!
Water very hot.
Creeping floor boards in bathroom.
Room cold, used blanket from wooden wardrobe, to back up thin duvet.
Bed uncomfortable.
Breakfast £12 if you haven’t booked it at the time of room reservation!
Get a receipt when you pay for breakfast. Pay by card. The people who were with me paid by cash on booking in. But when arriving for breakfast, they were told that they hadn’t paid for breakfast.
My breakfast receipt was under Holiday Inn ?? What that was about, I don’t know.
Anyway, I had a good breakfast, and it was hot!
Great value for money, but do get receipts, and be aware that car parking is at the rear of the hotel, and costs £6 payable at reception, who act as agents, for the owners of the park.

We find the hotel quiet and comfortable and the breakfast food was very good something for everyone. The most disappointing thing was after breakfast we were on our way to go home we were told you haven't paid for your breakfast we had a bit of an argument because we paid cash one of us paid by card he got a receipt we didn't we paid by cash when we got there the night before 12 pounds each for 3 of us plus £6 for carpark and she said we have no record was told the manager was on duty when we arrived told her to phone her the girl wouldn't .so we left so please if you visit get receipts if need .
