Lovely location.. but wasnt impressed with staff at reception when we arrived..was ignored at first then she just carried on eating while her and lad booked us in, neither of them friendly or welcoming. Lovely old building but in desperate need of painting and cleaning up... would be nice to have seen old pictures and history of the place in the foyer. Amazing breakfast.. so much to choose from and tasted delicious.

Ontbijt eenvoudig.
3 sterren is echt max wat ik geef.

Overall good, as you would expect from a 3-star. Friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast area. Our twin sea view room was in need of renovating but overall can't complain. Great view!

I stayed here for one night only with my 5 year old son. All the reception staff we met were excellent and amazingly friendly and all interacted directly with my 5 year old son making him feel special. We arrived prior to our check in and left our bag and also used he luggage storage after checking out. Room was huge and although a bit dated was perfect for our one night stay. The price we paid was very cheap so had low expectations but they were proved wrong!! We didn't use the restaurant or bar so I can't comment on those but everything else was great and I'd have no hesitation in returning.

We couldn’t resist visiting this hotel for our anniversary due to it having the same name as the hotel where we got married in Birmingham. When we arrived, the road to the car park was closed - we had to go the wrong way up the one way street behind the hotel - probably best to double check if that’s still the case. It’s a shame you can’t book a car parking place in advance, thankfully we were lucky and got the last spot and we didn’t dare move it just in case there wasn’t any space when we returned.

Having told reception it was our anniversary, we were given a sea view which made our stay extra special. As others have said the front can be noisy, so we’d recommend bringing ear plugs, however apart from some very noisy revellers at 4.30am one morning, we didn’t find it a problem.

A combination of Brexit staff shortages, Covid and other cost cutting meant that the room wasn’t serviced during our stay unless you asked. To be quite honest we managed perfectly well without a daily visit. Fresh towels etc were on offer - there’s even still a hotel phone in the room if you haven’t got a mobile. Wifi is quick and worked very well in the room.

We were pleased to see that plastic was being saved as individual toiletries had been replaced with dispensers for soap and shower gel/shampoo. If measures like these keep the cost of staying there affordable and help combat climate change, then it’s a small price to pay.

Our tariff included a couple of evening meals which were served in the first part of the enormous dining room – the second part was used for breakfast. For good affordable food, with friendly and efficient service in a lovely setting, then it certainly ticked all the boxes. It’s the same menu as all of the hotels in this chain, but it was also nice to see a few specials were on offer.

Breakfast was as you would expect, served buffet style, except for tea/coffee which was brought to the table. All the regulars were there, and a few extras such as three fruit bowls with berries, fruit salad and mango - and with a bowl of yoghurt. There was even a separate table with gluten free cold foods. The pastries and fruit selection were particularly good.

For those who can’t use the stairs, the lifts can be a little rickety, and the one on the right is very small! If you’re claustrophobic, do make sure you use the one on the left. We were on the second floor and generally used the stairs.

Once again, Bespoke Hotels have provided us with a lovely, affordable break. Their hotels are friendly, value for money and cater very well for their target audience, geared more towards older people. Like any large hotel, upkeep is a massive undertaking and there will always be areas that need a little TLC. The only reason we took off a star was that we were mistakenly charged twice for our stay, but that was sorted out very quickly by the lovely Ivone on reception with a quick phone call when we noticed the discrepancy.

Overall, we had a lovely stay and would be more than pleased to stay there again.

Emplacement proche du bord de la Manche. Le personnel est accueillant. La chambre était grande, mais pas très propre, de même pour la salle de bain...

Loved it . Hotel a bit “tired” but in a good condition. Everything is close. 10 min walk from train station , pier and beach across the street. Cafes , bus stop, shops, night club - 5-10 minutes walk . Very nice and helpful stuff, great bar 😊✌️

I came with a group for a few days at the beginning of July - perfect timing for the heatwave. My room was on the third floor, with one window open a couple of inches, and I couldn't move any of them. I called reception. The windows are fixed for safety! Five minutes later, there's a man with a fan - a very large, effective fan, which probably saved my life.
The room and the bed were comfy and clean, and I got new towels without asking for them.
The staff were, without exception, friendly, polite and helpful. Some of them were rushed off their feet, but they didn't take it out on the guests.
Packing tip: you may want to bring extra hangers. There were five big wooden neckline-stretching theft-proof hangers in my wardrobe. I was offered more, but what I got was a few hanging bits, with no fixing bit, and you can't put two hangers into one hole. One will definitely fall out.
One disappointing note when we left. When we arrived, our cases were taken to our rooms. The day before we left, we were told that we would need to leave them out by 6am for the night porters to bring them down for us. I don't know how many people can be packed and ready to go by 6am, but I'm not one of them. So at 8am I was schlepping mine through two fire doors and up two steps to get to the lift. Not ideal, and I do hope it's not the norm.
Otherwise, thank you for an enjoyable and relaxed stay.
