Passable for one night. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Lively fresh bedding and towels. Comp Tea and coffee in room.
It’s in a great location for town and attractions.
Parking is very useful, and reasonable price.
The hotel was busy as tennis week, sadly the room we stayed in was a tired, curtain coming down, cracked sink, dirty window sill, hairdryer had come off the wall, shower was poor, no pressure. Only one bed side table.

View from our window to the sea and pier View from breakfast room was a row of cars and vans.

The hotel itself is rather dated. It lacks basic things like somewhere to put toiletries and the facade and inner areas look a little scruffy.
The staff however are charming, friendly and super helpful

The location was great. Right by the beach. Near restaurants and bars. Shops are close. The hotel is tired looking and could do with a bit of updating, but it didn't bother us.

Comfortable and relaxing with great views Great sea view and the window opened wide enough to stick my arm out to video the sunrise. Breakfast was awesome! Hot and well cooked. Floor didn't seem very clean and quite dirty around the window. Also, very little to hardly any water pressure from the shower in the morning.

Very enjoyable and relaxing stay Quite good quality and value Didn’t get room made up every day. Only new coffee/tea, not even toilet rolls.

Overall very satisfactory with extremely polite, friendly and professional staff. Excellent breakfast. Room satisfactory. Views excellent (including sea, pier and carpet gardens). Small box like lift - would benefit from a mirror on the back wall to make it seem larger.

It was ok, fine for one night as the location is great but wouldn't stay again. Great location and staff were nice and helpful Hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. It wasn't the cleanest and attention to detail is definitely needed. For example there was a half used toilet roll in the bathroom, the kettle still had water in from whoever used it last and had limescale. There were marks on the bathroom walls that needed to be cleaned and the hard to get to places hadn't been cleaned, only the basic things had been. There was also a stain on one of our towels and neither of us had a shower as the shower cubicle wasn't clean.

As I expected; and excellent location Breakfast was very nice food, but I found restaurant opening not until 7.30am to be later than I would have liked.

Lovely staff Staff are welcoming and friendly. Check in was smooth, just a couple of signatures and it's done. The room was spacious even though it was a standard room. The room could have done with a refresh on the decorating but I think that's happening at the hotel anyway. Just haven't got to that room yet. The en suite needed updating. But how friendly the staff are by far outweighs that the room could do with a bit of paint.

Value for money Everything was well laid out,and the room was lovely. Dinner options were clearly explained, we chose to eat in the bar and the food was excellent as well as the price. Will book again. Nothing

The reception team are always warm and welcoming & go out of their way to help and make sure you have a great stay. My single room on the first floor was very clean and comfortable with a side view to the sea which was great. However, although I was not bothered by it, some guests may be disturbed by the noise from the bar’s & restaurant in the street below. The location of the hotel is superb for both the seafront and town centre. I always try to stay here when in Eastbourne.

Loved our stay. A friends birthday weekend. Loved the whole experience. Love that the hotel has held onto all its Victorian features. Yes, I agree that the paintwork needs attention.up stairs but cannot fault the staff the food and the comfortable beds.
We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel both days and was extremely happy with both. Served by great staff. Lovely entertainment by a lady singer in the evening . So appreciated the carpark for the car £12 for 2 days to park. I took the worry out of my mind trying to hunt down parking while we were there.
Just needed some paintwork and carpet renewed upstairs. But that didn't spoil our 2 days.

Review of The Burlington Hotel, Eastbourne. Good value for money and good location. Food was ok and staff friendly and attended to an issue re the shower promptly. There was some evening entertainment...which was appreciated...and marked the evenings out as different compared to simply being at home and watching the TV in the late evening. The decor is very dated in parts of the hotel and, as others have said, generally it could do with a good clean. However...there are many hotels along the front that are probably of a similar standard ...and one has to be realistic that it would cost a lot of money to re-furbish the hotel in one go. Where they have created Superior Rooms and laid new carpets the appearance is much improved.

Good location, comfortable, good value. Superior, twin with sea view. Nice large room.
Sitting at dining room window to have breakfast - looking out at the sea.
Good quality ingredients for buffet breakfast.
Very little noise from other guests once in the room.
Requested room near lift but we were at the very far end of the corridor with 2 sets of small steps between us and the lift. Quite a hike for Mom who has reduced mobility.
Having to walk on road to get past burned down building next door. This has been like this for quite a while - could do with some barriers to protect from traffic.
Room was nicely decorated but paintwork throughout hotel seems to have been overlooked.

This is a very average old hotel but no more and no less than you would expect for such a cheap stay. It has definitely seen better days but it is clean and the desk staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Sadly the same cannot be said for some of the breakfast staff. The breakfast is poor/average with no vegetarian options. Parking is £6 for 24hours and is conveniently behind the hotel, with direct access via a back door. Location wise, if you want sea front, you couldn’t get any closer and it is opposite the pier.
