Comfort at a reasonable price The staff were so friendly. I liked the view of the sea and I liked the bath and shower. Everything was lovely. I enjoyed being in what was once a grand hotel.
I appreciated that all the wardrobes table and chairs appeared new and the colour scheme was nice.
Maybe the hotel could have a new carpet.

Satisfactory but wouldn't return. Breakfast could have had more choice ie grapefruit, prunes, and fried and poached eggs As above.

All in all not a bad stay. Had a good night's sleep. The room was nothing grand but it was clean as were the towels and bedding. There was a fan which we needed. Also a plug in radiator if needed. The only thing I could say negative about the room was, although there were 2 pillows they had better days they were really thin. I went half board the evening meal was quite nice you have a starter mains and a desert. The only issue at the restaurant is the lack of staff, there was only 2 members of staff serving the whole restaurant. The staff on check in were so cheerful and happy. Was nice to be made to feel welcome. To sum up yes the hotel needs updating but then you would be paying a lot more then we did. I reckon this place could be a gem of a hotel if standards were up to date

The hotel is right on the seafront and about as close to the pier as you can get, where in my very well appointed ensuite room, I had the most relaxing break

Was pleased overall but a little disappointed with the room. Location was great and easy parking. Room was a little run down, needed a good paint and never had any shower gel in dispensers at all, never even got checked or refilled, window was broken and could lock at all.

The Burlington Hotel is a grade listed building. The staff that I interacted with were very welcoming and very helpful. Really appreciated the staff, even the maintenance guys, room attendants in the hallway were friendly. The ballroom, dining room and bar looked well presented and spacious.

I had several opportunities of riding in an elevator basically built for one with luggage or two people without luggage. It was one of the most interesting and coolest thing I've ever seen.

There's character and charm at The Burlington Hotel that has history. I would love to see the establishment improve in areas of the hotel to keep this iconic hotel thriving.

While the room was clean, there were areas where there was dust on the nightstand, fan and other areas.

Would I stay again? Probably, if the room was right and improvements were made as above.

breakfast adequate but not much choice. No fried eggs only scrambled no porridge

Meal in evening definitely not worth the money. Food was asked for in the bar not available. Not at all hotel's fault but fire alarm went off twice in the night.

Excellent breakfast & location was perfect.
General state of the building is tired & in need of repair.
