Quick stay The bed was very comfortable and room with a lovely view. Noisy floor . It was a very old hotel so we couldn't expect magic there but it was a very comfortable room.

We were really lucky as the hotel wasnt very busy during our visit, so we were upgraded to a suite bedroom, which was really big and had wonderful views of the sea front and pier. It was so peaceful in our room. We paid extra for breakfast and we're so glad we did. There was a huge amount of choice and everything was lovely and hot and tasted amazing. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and helpful. We paid £6 to park in the carpark behind the hotel and it was great - we could park from 3pm the day we arrived until 3pm the following day (even though checkout of the room was 10am). Everything was great.

Very basic hotel, cleanness could be much better. Room quite noisy and you could hear everyone upstairs just walking as the hotel is a big wooden box. Reception was very friendly.

The hotel was exactly what I needed at a reasonable price as I was attending a function in Eastbourne. The room was well The location and the single room was a good size and spotlessly clean. It had everything I needed for an overnight stay for a very reasonable price. Although parking was advertised I was warned it was on a first come first serve basis. I had mobility issues and was elated to find a space only to be told to move my car as all the spaces were booked.
The NCP car park was nearby.

The bathroom The lovely friendly staff The toilet being situated right in front of the window in bathroom.should have been inside the door in place of the sink bit daunting to think your shadow can be seen on the loo at night. This was room 109 first floor

Perfect! Reception chap was absolutely lovely. A real credit!! As soon as he saw it was my birthday (I had a badge on). He upgraded us to a superior room. Honestly couldn’t have done more for us. Extra pillows in the room as well as the hotel we stayed in the orevious night didn’t have and wasn’t willing to supply them. Our room was super warm as the sun was beaming on the windows. But this is not a complaint. As I would rather that and a seaview! Only small niggle was one of the windows was broken and wouldn’t stay open. But I wedged it with a chair so we was all good!

Good short break Location, staff were very good and helpful. We enjoyed our visit, good value for money. We would return. Could do with more drawer space in room.. Food was good but needed more choice, especially deserts.

The view from our bedroom was amazing and a lovely male receptionist The breakfast wasn’t the best and should be included in the price. I would have liked to see a mini fridge in the room

Pleasant stay in good location, friendly & helpful staff. The location is very good and the car park. Breakfast was reasonable. Lounge area overlooked sea and was pleasant.
Good value for what we paid.
The room was ok but overlooked car park and back of shops. Curtains in the room did not draw and were coming off the rails and bathroom door was "sticking". We reported these to Reception when we left.

A good hotel with excellent location. A will return later in year. Location ,room & breakfast all good as previous visits. I dont think dogs should be in dining room. No pizza oven ,so bar food menu ,a new idea, greatly reduced.

Location and staff awesome. The location is brilliant right opposite the pier. Staff were very helpful Sarah on reception was very welcoming. Bit dated however this did not deter from a great place to stay.

I'd stay here again. Cheap, clean, good position. I had a tiny room under the roof at the back. It wasn't posh, but thats fine. Needs redecorating.

If the details could be rectified, we would forward to our visit next year The Burlington is, or should I say was, a Grand Hotel on the sea front at Eastbourne...... ......but sadly let down by various details.
Dirt behind the taps, both sink and bath, and bathroom door dirty.
Inadequate lifts
Front door step chipped - not a good first impression on entering a Grand Hotel

Great value for money! Perfect room with a sea view, ideally located for everything we wanted to do. We will be coming back to stay! This magnificent hotel is obviously very old, but if you want value for money, right on the beach, opposite the pier and have a sea view, with the added bonus of a car park for guests as well as being close to everything, then this is for you. If you want to pick holes in the decor, the fact that the lift goes up and down a lot when you want to use it (yes, believe me, we heard someone complain about it!!), and a modern hotel, then go elsewhere!! We loved our stay and will be going back!

It was so refreshing to see all the staff no matter what they were doing willing to help any one, the staffs happiness and politeness shone through in all that they done well done to all the staff at this hotel . Basically enjoyed our stay, managed to visit places every day. Restaurant was ok, music in the evening was ok. Parking was also ok. Didn’t realise from photos that a third of the hotel had been demolished and under construction. Photos of the hotel under demolition and construction and areas at front and rear were messy and needed attention. Parts of Eastbourne seemed a little run down.
