It was in a good spot close to the beach & town.
There was a singer on in the evening, he was very good.
Room was clean & staff were polite at booking in. The hotel didn't have a proper bath mat for the floor it was more like a thin towel with a pattern on. As I put one foot on it ,I slipped with my left leg out the bath & my right inner thigh hitting the inside of the bath. I ended up after checking out that morning around lunchtime with hematoma all down my inner thigh & behind my knee. Plus, a bump to my head/ bruise.
So just a suggestion please get mats that have a backing that doesn't move.

The hotel was in the perfect location the room was nice and the entertainment was good
The room was very warm the little fan didn't really cool it down and the windows only opened a little bit and the biggest window didn't open after all.

Enjoyable short break and excellent value
Breakfast was good with a fair choice of cold and hot food. I would have liked to see mushrooms and black pudding and perhaps fried eggs as well as scrambled. But, overall a hearty start to the day. Room was OK, if a little tired in decor, and bed was comfortable. Tea/coffee making and refills very good, and ensuite bath/shower entirely functional. The cleanliness of the room was very good, Car parking facility, price and access direct to hotel was very good
There was no view from our room to speak of (fire escape and walls of other buildings). Air circulation throughout the hotel is an issue, and we found it uncomfortably warm - especially with no aircon (at least none functioning). We didn't ask for a fan, but perhaps one could have been made available. Choice of wines in bar/restaurant very limited

Room was a single, not something I usually take, but met what was required, a short overnight stay for work. Breakfast was good, fresh, hot, good selection. Room view was good, side corner so could see the beach and beach bandstand, and Sunday there was a band playing just below and also on the Pier, it was nice and lively, great atmosphere and friendly atmosphere.
With Bella the Chow Chow, a little closer to the front reception or garden so could nip in and out for walks rather than 3rd floor end of corridor. BUT, not moaning, it only took 1 minute to get to reception and outside.
