seem to run out of things quickly. No fried eggs only scrambled .

Great value hotel. Great location, fast check in, good breakfast. Dog friendly. Staff very friendly. It was a budget price on a Saturday night - there was nothing I didn't expect for the price. It was well worth it.

Very good Breakfast was OK but limited cooked breakfast only scramble eggs no fried eggs. Plates were to small. Had to wait for replishment of coffee butter croissant both mornings.

Hello everybody, My regards to you all.
To celebrate my wife's recent birthday we decided to treat ourselves to a short (very short in fact, just four nights away) holiday in Eastbourne which is a town that we both like and it's not so far away from where we live - In fact we went there by bus using our OAP free bus passes.
We stayed at the Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne which is located on the seafront directly opposite the pier and which is about a ten minute walk away from the town centre and the shops
Check in was efficent, and the lady receptionest on duty on the Sunday evening in September when we arrived was most pleasant and helpful in assisting us to find our bearings. Our room number 129 was situated on the first floor - Unfortunately the 'Booking' website wanted another £100 for a sea view room for the short duration of our stay which was rather a lot of money for such a short time, especially off-season so we had to make do with a cheaper rear view room which had only a rather uninspiring view of the exterior fire escape stairs - Had there been a fire we would most certainly had been the first people to escape. However the room was fine for the two of us, it was quiet and quite spacious having sufficient storage space also and a good wi-fi signal and a television set were available in our room too.
In the main we were quite satisfied with our room although we did find that the lighting was on the dim side making it rather difficult for us to read which I suspect is due to energy conservation measures owing to the terrible energy prices now being charged. Regarding the en-suite bathroom, it was warm and there was constant hot water - my only grizzle was as I discovered whilst sitting in the bath tub was that the soap dispenser was located far too high up the wall for me to be able to reach any soap to wash myself unless I had extraordinarily long arms which unfortunately I and most other people don't possess.

One of the two lifts in the hotel which has in excess of 100 rooms was out of order for the duration of our stay whilst the hotel was busy at the time with coach parties, but fortunately this caused us little bother.

A self service breakfast was served daily from 7.30am until 9.30am and this was superb in every respect - there was plenty of choices - and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals (both breakfasts & evening dinner) in the lovely hotel dining room. We treated ourselves to dinner in the hotel one evening which is served until 8pm. I'm told that the dinner menu for which we paid £20 each is changed daily, and on the day we dined there it was all done in 'threes' - There was a choice of three starters, followed by three choices of a main course followed by (yes! you've guessed it) three choices of a sweet course all of which was delicious and speedily served.

My price paid for our stay was reasonable for this day and age - Four nights bed with a jolly good breakfast in a nice room at the 'Burlington Hotel' located in the pleasant seaside town of Eastbourne on the seafront opposite the pier cost me £269.64 online with 'Booking.com' for my wife and myself which breaks down to £67.41 nightly...............Thank you for having us 'Burlington Hotel.'

Good Friendly staff. Good size room. Hotel very central. Live entertainment was really good and unexpected. Broken shower attachment so had to hold the shower attachment. Room decor needed attention in places as well as the bathroom. It was a good price so we didn't expect much, so overall it was good.

Good location and value for money Location is great. A very old hotel with original features. Some of the hotel is gradually being upgraded, but it is a long, ongoing project. We had evening entertainment both nights (which my elderly mum loved)! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast, which offered a good variety. One night we ate an evening meal in hotel. Good value and choice. We have stayed here several times over the last few years and will continue to do so Had an initial issue with cleanliness of room which was rectified immediately upon notifying reception.

Great value hotel in a prime location with superb staff Excellent location on the seafront, right infront of the pier and only 10 mins walk to the town centre & rail station.
Staff were excellent at this hotel and the food (I had breakfast and dinner) was pretty decent. Andrew the entertainer (quizmaster & singer) was great! It looks a bit shabby in parts and the lift is small and temperamental.
But I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location of this hotel. we had a fabulous sea view. The hotel staff were all lovely and so helpful. We had a meal at the hotel , the food was delicious. We would definitely stay at The Burlington again. We loved everything

Bed clean and comfortable, bathroom good and as I wasn’t expecting too much for the price I paid, it was acceptable Staff very friendly. Great location. Room smelt a bit damp with peeling wallpaper and dirty curtains. The cleaner needs to be more thorough as I found what appeared to be a bit of dried dog poo under the dressing table at the back which was clearly visible. Also right by the bed something was stuck to the wall which I removed. Other than the fact that the room needed renovating it was ok for the price paid.

It was nice to be back after my first stay It was convenient It appears it is being run down. Stained equipment and carpets marks on the walls

The hotel know what people want, and can be relied on to provide well appointed rooms with all that you need in a traditional setting. It's always a comfortable stay here

Large room and very clean with a sea view, all positive. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Downside was the building is old and needs updating and a very small double bed.
Overall great location and good value for money

Seen better days but front room views made up for these shortcomings Grand old hotel in central Eastbourne. Front rooms had superb views of the pier and sea. It’s seen better days and has lacked investment for decades. Old carpets and old bathrooms. Lifts are old too - but quirky
