Decent hotel with great location Clean mostly, spacious room, excellent location, breakfast is nice, staff nice, A bit pricey for an old hotel, a bit noisy with busy road, try to check dust in the room and bathroom, could do a later check out

Good value for an older style hotel. Breakfast excellent. Good size room. Location on seafront was perfect. Restaurants nearby. On site car parking only £6 per day. The front outside needs a tidy up, weeds and mess. Did not affect our stay but would make the appearance considerably more pleasing.

One night stay in Eastbourne. Close to the seafront and pier, but nothing open. Poor beer selection, bland flavourless food.

Although the building needed some TLC, we couldn’t fault the staff. They were friendly and welcoming and ready to assist. The breakfast was good, plenty of it. The hotel was near all the facilities, so all in all a good couple of days.

This hotel is in a great location overlooking the pier, near the shops and 10 minute walk from the train station. Room was clean and large. However there were no working elevators which is a tough slog when you’re on the top floor even tho I consider myself reasonably fit. We noticed this was reported in numerous other reviews over months if not years so we weren’t surprised when we arrived but the hotel staff told us there was an engineering team looking into it. Oh yeah? 😂 Might be time to get a new engineering team!

It was ok. It was by the sea and close to everything. The property lift wasn’t working and my is disabled so it was stressful. And the people above done a lot of moving about and floors were creaking at night so it was noisy.

Generally ok, suited our needs. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Ideal location opposite the Pier. Opted for a Seaview room, then upgraded to a superior Seaview room at a reasonable charge. Good clear views over the beach, and of the pier. The Breakfast was value for money and good quality products.
A gluten free bread and cereal was available for one of our party.
There was entertainment but we didn't attend. The evening meal menu looked good but we had made arrangements to eat out.The staff were very helpful and friendly..
In general quite happy with our stay.
Lack of information in the rooms, as the Hotel is old the floor boards creaked a lot.
Room not made up the second day, not sure if this is usual for a 2 night stay.
Usually get a do not disturb or please make my room up sign to hang on the door.

The weather was nice. Very good breakfast and location. Lifts were out of order the whole of the break, and being on the third floor was a bit of a challenge.
