I booked the Burlington and the other hotel, and despite its lower review rating, the Burlington is much, much better than the other hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There for every need. My husband needed an extension lead for his bipap machine and it was arranged straight away. The seaview room was excellent. Great entertainment, separate bar with food. The breakfast was lovely 🤩 so much choice. Continental, British fry up .juice ,tea and coffee. The main hall was stunning with beautiful chandeliers . I will be going there regularly. Real gem

Eastbourne is a nice coastal town with pebble beach. The Burlington is good value for money hotel. old building, a little run down but comfortable, breakfast was a self service buffet, well presented and well worth the money.

We recently stayed at the Burlington Hotel and overall found it to be a good value-for-money option in a fantastic location.

The hotel itself is quite old and a little dated, but it has a certain charm. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. The lifts are wonderfully quirky and old-fashioned, adding to the character of the building.

Our twin room was a pleasant surprise, especially the lovely sea view. The room had all the essentials and was spotlessly clean, which is always a big positive. That said, some of the electrics looked a little sketchy and could probably do with updating. We also didn’t have housekeeping the whole time of our stay…not sure if that’s the norm or if our room was simply forgotten. We had to request a clean towel midway through which was delivered but no one came into our room to make beds, change towels or remove rubbish.

One challenge during our stay was the temperature of the room. It was extremely hot — more like a sauna — and we discovered the thermostat downstairs was set to 24°C, which felt excessive for mild spring weather. Someone must be happy paying big heating bills! Reception explained that someone older may have requested the heating on, but unfortunately it didn’t seem possible to adjust it in our room. We tried opening the window, but on the first morning a pigeon flew straight into the room, so we couldn’t risk leaving it open any further! Reception staff did kindly bring us a fan to take the edge off however having the heating off would have been most helpful. The lady at reception when we left really didn’t seem bothered about our complaint, which was a shame as everyone else seemed quite attentive

Breakfast offered a good range of choices and is entirely self-service, including a full English along with plenty of other options. Service in the dining room varied depending on who was on duty: one member of staff was incredibly energetic and kept everything running smoothly, while another seemed a bit slower, meaning plates piled up and tables weren’t cleared as quickly.

During our stay we also had to report a strong smell of cannabis on our floor, which lingered for several days before seeming to move elsewhere in the hotel. It wasn’t particularly pleasant having to walk through that smell regularly.

That said, the location is excellent — right on the seafront and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and the town centre.

Overall: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay in a prime seaside location, the Burlington is a solid choice. It may be a little dated and have a few quirks, but the cleanliness, friendly staff and unbeatable location make it worth considering. 🌊🏨

I am glad that we booked a sea-view superior double room for our stay in Eastbourne. The hotel was an old however our room was amazingly space and the view from the second floor was splendid. Our family loved it and we could definitely come in and recommend to our friends.

The friendly staff, Nigel the night porter, Sarah and Niki on reception are all fabulous along with the bar staff. The location is terrific with Starling murmurations on display from inside of the veranda both dusk and dawn. The Vegan pizza is terrific value and hits the spot, as usual the Gannet ate most of it before remembering to take a photo. All in all the perfect Faulty Towers!

So just had a 1 night stay 14-15th Feb and it was lovely … we booked a meal for the evening unfortunately it wasn’t for us as what we ordered had ran out … only open for an hr ! However Anne was brilliant and arranged a refund for us … and true to their word they called and refunded …. Yes it does need a bit of touching up in places … but our room 212 was clean and the bed was very comfy …. We will return the staff were lovely and the singer last night was amazing …. If you want a 5 star hotel book one but for the price we paid we was definitely happy with it

My elderly parents needed a short break and we booked a room here. What made it a positive experience for myself and my olds was the two wonderful ladies at reception. Both could not have been more kind and helpful when dealing with them and me, both are a credit to the hotel. Thank you both for being so caring.

Old fashioned and tired decor but the service was lovely and our room facing the sea we enjoyed. We went half board and the food exceeded our expectations even though it was a near empty dining room on our 2 night visit before Xmas.

Arrived 19.12.25 for 2 night's stay, arrived around 6pm, main door was locked and buzz the bell a few times and no answer, another person outside she had to call someone inside to open the door went to our room 313 wasn't up to standard, shower taking long to drain mattress bigger then bed base, ended up falling out of the bed, following morning went down for breakfast and spoke with abbie at reception who was very understanding and professional, and also changed my room to 307 which was upgraded and will be diffently returning due to Abbie professional service in dealing with my issue, well done to the morning team.

Just had 4 days here and was overall quit impressed, only thing letting it down for me was the condition of woodwork and paint on the outside as seen from inside looking out. But generous size rooms, comfortable bed, tea, coffee biscuits all supplied, we had buffet breakfast and there were a very good choice, the best part is the location opposite the pier, 10min walk to town center and a few mins to bus stops. Will definitely be back, thank you.

I enjoyed my stay at the Burlington hotel. I stayed in a double room on the fourth floor. The lift is a bit tiny but it does the job. There is a car park at the rear of the hotel which is £6 a day for residents. You pay at reception. Buffet breakfast was good. Hot food choice of ,bacon, eggs, tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns, sausages and black pudding. Cereals and pastries and porridge and fruit and of course a toast machine. The location of the hotel is very close to Eastbourne pier. There are bus stops at the pier so you can go to Hastings or Brighton quite easily enjoying the coastal route. It is not far to walk to the shopping area I Eastbourne or you can catch a bus outside the pier. Whilst I was staying, there was entertainment each night in the ballroom area, usually a singer
