The receptionist was super lovely when we checked in. We got a free upgrade to a sea view room. The room had good refreshments and coffee maker. Breakfast was a very good buffet style and the dining room staff were also lovely.

The room was very spacious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was also a singer on Monday night who was very good, but we didn’t see this advertised anywhere so would be nice to be told at check in what is happening each evening
Our superior double room was spacious however the double bed was two singles put together. We did mention this to one of the staff members who was very helpful and suggested the zip part might not have been done and got this sorted. Even though it stopped the beds parting we still had the space down the middle which was a bit annoying as we had ordered a double bed room. It was also very noisy when people walked about above our room and also doors slamming along the corridor.
The bathroom had also not been cleaned to a very good standard as there was like coffee or something dropped down the outside of the sink and slightly on the floor

Excellent service. Booked in for one night. Small problem with the room which the front desk took care of immediately! Breakfast was a well stocked buffet and everything was hot and cooked well. Great variety of breads and pastries as well as cereals , fruit and porridge. Room was like others have commented ‘a bit tired’ but management has said they are renovating which in a hotel as large as this takes time. Slept well. Bed was comfortable and room had adequate heat and all the comforts of a budget hotel. Would come back again.

bar staff was very friendly food tasty however rooms are very dated and dark ,windows mouldy and felt a bit chilly but it would not put me off going back there because i did have a nice time plenty of shops and cafes about very frienldly people

We had a small problem with the room when we arrived but the front desk took care of it immediately. The service is great. The breakfast the next day was very good. Staff were very pleasant and courteous. As some people have commented the place is tired looking but as the hotel has fully explained they are renovating. 197 rooms do not update themselves overnight so give them a chance. Room was a great price and I cannot fault it.

Eastbourne Family Get Away
Staff are some of the best I have had the experience to deal with, helpful, good for a laugh,, great people.
Food was excellent, reasonably priced,
Location bang on. Hate to moan after such a excellent stay, but one of our party wasn't a big drinker and you could not get a coffee after 8pm from the bar.
Not great if you have a wheelchair .
Rooms need a face lift.
Bathroom sink looked like I had put it in,, I won't even go into how cramped the toilet to bath ratio was .
Shame really with how helpful the staff are,, that it does have a few negative points.
Just needs someone to give it some TLC.
