We didn't expect luxury for the price we paid but these were niggly problems.
reasonable choice for breakfast. room ok for just 3 nights. nice view.
The bath was high for me to get into for the shower. Would have liked a non slip shower mat in it as I didn't feel very safe. The shower cream was empty. Fortunately I'd brought my own, but I had to get out dripping wet to get it. One of the lifts didn't work with an apology on the door and some message saying it will be seen to. One of the residents said that it was just like that last year.

Excellent breakfast good selection of breakfast food.
Twin room overlooking corner and sea view good. We booked an evening meal in the hotel with a good choice of all courses.
Staff very approachable and helpful.

Great location, great price. So be realistic about your expectations. I was more or less happy i can't complain about it since it was so cheap.
If u are light sleeper, don't go there. It's old hotel which has old wooden floors with carpets so every footstep is making squeaking sound. U can hear every footstep in room above u.

Would of given it full stars but the only thing to described negative would be the small blotches of blood stains on the bathroom tile which I wasn't too keen on,

Great rate for a great stay.
It's a very grand building in a great location. The bar areas and restaurant all look very nice (although didn't use) The man on reception and the night porter were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Great room rate too.
The room was extremley hot 🔥 which is usually unheard of in hotels! The heating wasn't on though, but fortunately there was a fan (actually 2) in the room. Maybe it was above the kitchen?! Not sure.

Good value grand seaside hotel
Traditional seaside hotel by the beach. Lovely dining room with a very good breakfast buffet including cooked breakfast. The rate for bed and breakfast was very good value.
The water to make our breakfast tea in the dining room had a strong metallic taste.
