Great position, room was comfortable and well equipped Room wasn’t serviced for the second night which I would expect for the price I paid and a superior room. And it took forever to get served at the bar.

Excellent staff , value for money , great location Excellent location , staff really lovely and friendly
Good parking , bed was comfortable and room warm
Value for money and I would return
As with previous comments it’s sad to see how once a great building needs a lot of TLC in the bedrooms
Bedroom was clean as much as it could be , due to the old windows and bathroom .

Good staff leadership. The best thing is the Manager who ensures my issues as a disabled guest are met. If the hotel ever have the money, a larger lift.

Lovely Birthday Weekend The hotel is in an excellent position along the seafront. The staff were very friendly and patient. The WiFi was good. The Maintenance staff and the Electrician were very helpful. The food was good (we had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. We upgraded to a superior sea-view double room with a walk in shower and we were glad we had done that. The bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water and was powerful. The coffee machine and daily biscuits were much appreciated.
We had a lovely weekend and enjoyed our stay.
We will return 😊
It’s an old building and therefore very expensive to maintain being a grade 2 listed building. It does however need a lot of money to totally update the building. It also needs a good deep clean throughout the hotel.
We were disappointed that we couldn’t have the bottle of Malbec we chose to have with our dinner because the bar staff couldn’t find a corkscrew anywhere!!

A great traditional and historic seafront hotel with well appointed rooms and two lifts, right by the pier, and within easy walking distance of everything you need for an enjoyable break in Eastbourne

Pleasant stay but cleanliness wasn’t as I’d have expected. Ability to park, within easy reach of town and sea. Room cleanliness especially the fan over the bath in room 240. It was filthy.

Great location, very spacious and extremely good value. The lady in reception was friendly and very helpful. Overall a great experience.
The only issue was the WiFi wasn't working on my visit, the phone signal in my room wasn't really great. I would certainly stay here again. Highly recommended.

Good value stay in a hotel that needs some tlc. Large room, sea view, value for money. Rude bar staff who need to mind their attitude with customers. Breakfast service need to keep an eye on when things run out.

It was a Victorian hotel so don’t expect ultra modern but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff, particularly the gentleman in reception was just so helpful all the time. The hotel was preparing for Christmas so had a lovely atmosphere. There was entertainment and an enormous dining area and all overlooking the sea.
